Your unique Stanford University hitch cover helps to keep dirt out of the receiver and deters rust, so you can easily install ball mounts and other hitch accessories when you need them. This hitch cover is a great way to protect your receiver and express yourself, all in one.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Stanford Cardinal Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover for 2" Hitches. This is an officially licensed product when it comes to the logo. Pretty simple installation, just slides into the receiver tube of your hitch. It's going to do a great job at adding a clean, finished look to your vehicle, and it's also going to help keep dirt and grime out of the hitch, which is going to prevent rust and corrosion from building up. Here on the front, it's going to feature a chrome plated metal emblem. It's very stylish and durable. The rest of the unit is a black powder coated metal. It's designed to resist rust and corrosion as well as fading.
It's a nice strong durable design. The unit also comes with a foam gasket that's designed to prevent rattling, and that's between the hitch cover and the hitch. To get it secured you only need to use a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, and if you're in need of one you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on this unit will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. Again it is designed to go into a 2" X 2" trailer hitch receiver. Taking a look at the dimensions of the face real quick.
Measuring in this direction it's pretty close to 5". Up and down it's going to measure about 3-1/2". And then the distance that we have from the back of the face plate to the center of the hitch pin hole is probably about 2-9/16" of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Stanford Cardinal Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover for 2" Hitches.
