Updated 03/11/2026 | Published 02/28/2026

Question:

Hello there, I’m looking to potentially buy the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes. I want to ask if you think this would be a good option for these e-bikes: 1. Magnum cruiser 2. Priority Glide Thank you, Roby

Hey Roby, I checked out both of the bikes you mentioned and yes the Hollywood Racks E-Bike Rack # HLY74FR that you referenced would work great carrying both of them. It has the needed weight capacity and also is compatible with the frame styles of both bikes. Do you own the bikes already? If so, how do you like them?

I bought the Hollywood Rack works great. I have two e-bike that weigh about 80 pounds each. Carries the with no problem. The down part is that it is a little heavier then most bike racks, but built sturdy. It was a great buy.

Roby, I bought the Bike Rack you reference. I use it to transport my Velotric Discover 1 (69 lbs) and my wife's Priority E-Coast (58 lbs) and have not had any problems or issues. I found the rack to be well-made, rugged, versatile and as others have indicated, very little movement with the anti-rattle u-bolt. Your personal experience will depend on how well you secure the bikes, your driving habits, road conditions, etc. My only issue is the rear cross traffic and AEB on my Hyundai Tucson. When I'm backing, It "senses" the bikes on the rack as an object I'm about to hit and triggers the brakes. Before parking, I unload the bikes, and back out of the space before re-loading the bikes.

We bought this rack two years ago when we bought two Aventon Sinch 2 e-bikes with 4 x 20 tires. They are about 75# each, and this rack has been plenty sturdy. It’s mounted on the back of a 25’ RV, so it’s higher than a car, but using the lift-one-wheel-at-a-time approach, it’s pretty easy. I agree with other commenters that the hitch tightener is a huge plus.

I bought this Hollywood rack for my Rad City 5 +. My old rack was too light weight for an Ebike. This rack is super rugged and has been on my car for the last two years. I don't store it for the winter. Its a bit heavy to remove. Being a bit elderly, I found it a struggle to deal with a 65 lb bike. However, when traveling to a trail, I remove the battery and do the one-wheel-at-a-time mounting of the Ebike. Quite easy for me. Just reverse the process to take it off. The key thing for me is how does the bike ride on the rack? Its SOLID! Often I travel my bike across the state to try trails far from home here in WA state. This is a heavy duty rack and completely adjustable. The big "hooks" used to clamp down from the crossbar click into place and are very solid. I left one behind by mistake but no problem - I ordered a new one. The Ebike and that rack allow me to explore all over the state. Great for a retired guy with a bad knee. A game changer. Forgot to mention. My car's backup warning goes off whenever I put the car in reverse. However, I can see clearly through the rack plus I have mirrors, etc. Not a problem.
