I HAVE A 2017 FLYING CLOUD with ducted ac with a dometic penguine. will this ac work on my camper?

Hi Bryan!
You can use a Furrion Chill Cube on your 2017 Flying Cloud, but the Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR24TQ is just the AC and will not be all you need to upgrade. With that said, you will need one of the two parts I have listed below:
Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR67TQ
Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 # FR59TQ
These are basically the same part ( # FR24TQ for the AC and # LC64DX for the air distribution box), but the # FR59TQ also has the # LC74DX wall mounted thermostat included. I think I would probably go with the # xx due to that wall mounted thermostat, but that's just my opinion.
As to the reason for needing a whole replacement and not just the rooftop AC unit, that has to do with the new coolant that was mandated by the EPA (as of 2025). The change over basically made it so none of the new R32 units can be used with the systems that controlled the older units. Trying to do so can cause fire issues, so we have heard.
