Question:

If my camper weighs almost 10,000 lbs would this be a good hitch to buy for a 2019 Ram 1500 classic with a 5.7

I do have an option for you but in order to tow a trailer that size with your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic you are going to need a frame mount trailer hitch, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14374 is what I recommend as it offers simple bolt-on installation. The etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98852 would not be sufficient.

I will say that if you are going to be towing that heavy of a trailer then you will need to install either a set of suspension enhancements like the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TDR1500DQ or a weight distribution system like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37120ET. If you were to try and tow the trailer without either of these items then the truck will squat like crazy and perform very poorly as that is just too much weigh for the factory suspension to handle.
