Very high quality hitch, fit great with my BMW 335i
Absolutely love it. The installation instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It's very easy and painless to remove and reinstall. Once the hitch is off, it's impossible to tell there's anything there.
I just completed this install on my 2011 328i xDrive "Sports Wagon."
There are some "expert replies" under the Q&A that says it will fit, and some saying that it does not fit. When contacting StealthHitch themselves, even they told me that they didn't offer a product for the E91 chassis.
I can confirm that the rear crash structure between the sedans and the wagons are identical. The main differences are the rear bumper cover itself as well as its plastic support bracket that bolts into the chassis. I had to trim some plastic material from the bumper cover support, to allow the Stealth Hitch to sit flush against the rear of the vehicle. Once that gets bolted on, and the bumper cover is ready to be placed back onto the car, the lower under panel/gravel guard is slightly different than the sedans, thus requiring different dimensions cut vs what is shown in the installation instructions (not a big deal though, just cut enough so that you can freely insert and remove the proprietary accessories that Stealth Hitch utilizes.)
Only giving it 4/5 stars because I had to gamble to see if the hitch fits because no one seemed to want to confirm if the item fit the E91 chassis.
Install was straight forward, not for beginners but simple. Unnoticeable when not in use. Does a advertised.
This hit hitch is the perfect match to my BMW convertible. I use it to pull a duel SeaDoo trailer, and a luggage carrier. And after all the work is done I remove the attachments and no one knows the receiver is there. Nothing to kick into!
