This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.
This hitch was easy to install and the additional wire harness was easy to apply.
Installation on my 2022 Escape Hybrid went smoothly. Thought I'd need a hand holding it in position, but was able to easily do it myself by propping it on a wood block while attaching the bolts. Grinding the one hole larger on each side wasn't too difficult with only a dremel and a basic aluminum oxide grinder bit, but it took a little while. I'm sure it would be quicker with a proper die grinder bit. I'd recommend tracing the hitch holes onto a piece of cardboard to mark the hole enlargement, but note that the hole has to also get wider to fit the bolts through. The included fish wires work amazingly well to fish the plates and bolts through.
The hitch was in good shape when delivered and was installed as suggested. The install time estimates are less than it actually took.

The only thing I had to do which wasn't clear in the instructions is I had to open up the front hole in the frame enough to accommodate the head of the carriage bolt not just the plate. I actually put the first plate in place and found out I couldn't get the bolt in the hole in the frame. So I just had to open the hole in the frame a little larger. No problem. I didn't need an extra set of hands, I used jack stands and floor jack for install without raising the vehicle.
The installer had no trouble installing it: holes matched my vehicle. Is strong, well made.
Fits my 2020 Hybrid Escape and looks nice. Installation was pretty simple, except I needed to enlarge both the hole used to pass bolts through and the elongated holes in the frame rail. I used a Dremel since that's what I had on hand. I wish the holes in the hitch matched the bolt holes in the vehicle and that the bolt heads were modified so there wouldn't be any need for vehicle modification. I feel it's a bit over-built, especially for the hybrid since the OEM hitch has a max tongue load of 350lb and hybrid is rated for a 1500lb trailer. I'll also mention the foot activated liftgate still works. Oh.. and I also wish the bolts were a little bit longer. Some of them just barely peek out the other side of the nut.
This hitch fit our 2020 Escape Titanium Hybrid perfectly! As a 68 yr old, I was able to install this hitch single-handedly (with the help of a piece of firewood cut to the appropriate length to support the other end of the hitch) in about an 90 minutes while laying on the ground. The online video is very helpful and we'll done! NOTE for you DIY's: I was able to insert the backing plates and the bolts without enlarging the slots on the sides of the frame rails. CAUTION: wear safety goggles to keep the sand and dirt from getting in your eyes while working under the vehicle, you'll be thankful afterwards! I couldn't be happier with my dealings with etrailer or with the quality of this hitch!

Both products fit and work perfectly. Had both installed in under 3 hours in garage using floor jacks.
This hitch receiver is strong, and will most likely last longer than me. However, the square receiver part is tilted slightly to the right. I got it installed by a pro, and it is installed horizontally correctly. I think the welder or a welding machine did not do a very good job. I am concerned that when I install a cargo carrier, the carrier will be tilted also, which my wife and I will not like. I am attaching a picture, and it shows a very slight lilt. That tilt will be amplified with the carrier because it's 5 feet long. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting it removed and returning, so I will keep it.

Perfect fit for my 2020 Ford Escape Titanium Hybrid. Watched video online before hand, everything went exactly as shown. Used a unibit to slightly enlarge 1 set of holes on each side to let the bolts/hardware pass through. About 1.5 hrs from start to finish. Everything about the unit is quality. And it looks great, hardly noticable.

Customer service is great! The tow hitch I bought fits a 2020 Ford Escape perfectly, just word of advice it will take longer the 40 minute that described in the instruction. Give yourselves around 4 hours or so, you will definitely need it. Other than that the product looks is great. Haven’t used it yet.

Fit our 2021 escape hybrid nicely. Pretty easy install, just two exhaust bolts and open up the two holes like it says. I did not have to open up the two side holes for the hardware though, it was big enough to slide them through.
This receiver was a great purchase! It fit well on our 2021 Escape. My husband (73) had it on in just under 3 hours. It probably would have been faster if he didn't have to borrow the neighbor's torque wrench and then have a conversation! Men talk more than women (ha!). We did not have to drill out any holes in the frame as the video indicated. The video was a great help in getting it all together. So glad the auto open foot sensor still works too. Would definitely recommend this receiver.
Easy to install. Sturdy. I've pulled utility trailers and used a bike rack on it. Works great.
We got this for our 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. My wife and I installed in a couple hours. Had to make a couple existing holes in the frame a little larger, but everything else was fairly simple. It tucks up under the car so nothing drags when going over a dip in the road. We use it for a bike rack to carry 2 heavy ebikes. No problems at all.

We only have our bike rack and bikes on the car when were towing our Escape behind our motorhome. Weve traveled about 7,000 miles so far and the hitch has worked well with no problems.
Everything went great. The video you guys provided showed all that was needed. I made a template of the bolt holes on the hitch to mark the frame modifications. afterwards I clamped the hitch to a hydraulic jacking table that I had. I pushed it into position and bolted it into position. I did have some trouble fishing the fish wires through. This was fixed by attaching another wire to the end of the fish wire, then pulling it through. Thanks for the videos.
received hitch promptly and it fir as expected. Hired it put on and no problems

Still working fine pulling a trailer and also, I built a platform to carry 3 five gallon cans of gasoline so I didnt have gas inside my Escape.
Great hitch for the 2021 Ford Escape titanium hybrid. The only thing is it’s not necessarily so easy to install as advertised. Luckily the dealership I bought my car from agreed to install for free because they had to modify the exhaust hanger (bend it a bit) to prevent the hanger from rubbing on the hitch. Not a huge deal, but if we were installing ourselves it would have been an issue.

Great. Perfect for my small SUV
Excellent product! Install with a second pair of hands. I didn’t by myself, and it was very difficult. Did have to sand out some of the holes for bolts to fit. The quality of this product is amazing. Very happy with it.

One year later: I have pulled a couple UHAUL trailers loaded with rock and mostly use it for a bike rack. It does the job and I am happy with it.
