How long should my safely chains be on my 2000 Chevy truck

That's hard to answer but basically it comes down to the best length that allows the truck to make tight turns without binding the chains up but also doesn't drag the ground. Since the mounts on the trailer can be in various places it's hard to give an exact figure.
