Popularity of items comes into play when manufacturers determine pricing. The Class III Curt hitch for your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500, # C13175, is the more popular option even though the Class IV hitch # C14006 has a higher capacity. Based on that I recommend the Class IV. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
The recommended ball mount for this hitch and vehicle is # C45341. It has a 3 inch rise or 4 inch drop and takes a ball with a 1-1/4 inch shank such as # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
Your truck should have a factory 7-Way connector but if you ever need to replace it I recommend # HM40975 which is a 7- and a 4-Way.
