Perfect fit and extremely easy installation on my wife's 2013 SantaFe Sport. Only took me about 30 minutes, after watching the etrailer installation video. Best of all, the hitch didn't cost me $697.00 as it is listed on the Hyundai accessories website - that's absolutely crazy!! I would recommend you check to see if you have the factory tow connection already on the vehicle before ordering the wiring kit. All I needed was the C56151 kit, which plugs directly into the factory plug just behind the driver side rear tire. I ordered everything before checking and selected "without factory tow package", since there wasn't a tow hitch already installed on the vehicle. The wiring kit recommended was C56184, which will work, but is a more complicated installation. It would be great if there was a prompt telling you to check for the factory plug, prior to ordering the wiring kit.
My wife is now very happy that she can tow our small utility trailer anywhere she wants. THANKS etrailer.com!
Arrived quickly, so that's a plus. The way this slides into place on the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe there is an alignment pin where the bumper is slid forward during the car assembly that is close to where the bolts are. I was impressed by the precise construction of the hitch that it slide up into place without interfering with alignment pins.
I did have to bend the driver's side pin just a touch (as instructed by the instructions) to get a proper socket on one of the large nuts to apply the correct torque. I'm talking 3 millimeters or something. Not a worry at all, all stock use of the pin is completely retained.
Heavy duty powdercoating. Not that you'll get much chance to appreciate it, since once it's installed, the hitch is super stealthy. The picture attached is taken just a couple feet off the ground.
I installed it in my driveway without a lift, just a couple of drive up ramps. I don't LOVE rolling around on concrete, but meh, it's totally doable. The time estimates given, I'm guessing, are for using a lift. From start to finish, including being called in for dinner, and picking up all my tools afterward, it took me a couple hours.

A year later, everything is still fine. No rust spots that Ive noticed.
I purchased this product prior to going to the Outer Banks last July. The ordering process was a breeze, and the product arrived promptly. After getting it installed at our local auto shop, I was ready to go. This product did more than hold its' own. I attached a hitch to it, and had no problems what so ever. My wife and I were traveling with our two year old, and needed the extra space to pack toys, etc for her. Without this product, that wouldn't have been possible. I definitely recommend this trailer hitch!

Great product, I think the install timeline was a bit misleading. It would have been nice if the engineers and writers actually took into accountability the average person with the average tools on their timeline. Not sure how they tested the instructions themselves on the specific year make and models. But they were off a bit. And I’m fairly mechanically inclined. Now knowing how it went I could certainly cut my install time in half to about an hour from start to finish.

The installation times we show in the product descriptions are merely an estimate, given someone of average mechanical ability.
When purchasing this product I looked around at quite a few places, I couldn't be happier having chosen etrailer for my trailer hitch needs. I bought the whole package, installation could not have been easier and the towing compacity of this model well out performs it's competition. To top it off the look of this product attatched to my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a really great look. Etrailer is a wonderful website and I highly recommend them to anyone searching for trailer products.
Great video to prep me for doing the job, I used an axle Jack to support the muffler once the hangers were off. Needed some help when holding the hitch up to the frame, after that it was very easy.

This is the perfect rack if you think you might use your hitch for anything down the road - trust me, you will upgrade.
Installation was straightforward. A word of caution. If you live where roadsalt is used, pick up an M10x1.25 tap and chase the weldnut threads in the frame. Mine were impossible to get the bolt into. Five minutes with a tap and I could thread them in by hand.
I bought this hitch to carry a bike rack (for now - see upgrades!) and just a word of advice. The Thule T2 Classic is a great two bike tray. According to the Thule information, it will not fold up vertically on our 2015 Santa Fe Sport. It will work just fine. In my pics you can see the wheel tray comes close when the rack is centered. It's close but there's not enough play to hit the bumper.

I installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver onto a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. The dealership was going to charge $500.00 for a hitch receiver and $110.00 per hour for labor. I am a data analyst and work on a computer all day and have to real experience with tools. But reading the reviews gave me confidence I could install the hitch receiver myself, which I did. The installation took me ~1.5 hours. The installation video was very helpful. Doing the installation myself saved me a lot of money. The hitch fits like a glove.
This is probably the 3rd hitch for various vehicles I have ordered form etrailer. Shipping always seems to be very fast and I find the prices quite reasonable. I ordered the wrong wiring harness for my last purchase, and I managed to get it taken care of with no problem at all.
Finally got the hitch installed on my Hyundai Santa Fe. i ordered the complete package hitch, light harness, and mounting bracket. It went extremely well. Very easy and quick to install. etrailer has the best hitch out there to fit practically any vehicle. I am an etrailer customer for life.
Fits perfectly on 2018 Santa Fe Sport. Watch the video for detailed instructions on a 2017 Santa Fe Sport (exactly the same). Took me about 90 minutes start to absolute finish with only jack stands. If you don't have a torque wrench, be aware the torque specs are pretty high - be sure to use a long ratchet or breaker bar and tighten like crazy.
Works great with C58000 adapter and 37185 4/7 pole connector (see pictures).
This is my second Curt. I am Very impressed with how much if the hitch is actually hidden(unlike the supposed "Hidden-Hitch").
Very good quality and the gut is perfect. Watch the video and don't even both not dropping the spare or the muffler (tried that on the 1st hitch :-))

I went a little overkill with this class III hitch, however, fit was perfect. Difficulty of installation was more of a 6 out of 10 for a plus sixty year old crawling on my back under the car, but all in all, it went well. Achieving torque of 110 ft lbs for the cross bolts required extra effort, but I knew it needed to be accomplished. I took my time. Cleaned all the parts a removed and replaced. And made sure all items were secure. The wire harness I purchased was almost too easy to install. To plugs and done. Added the fuse, tested it with the tester I bought, and all worked fine.
Ordering from etrailer was easy. Got my product fast and the one of the coolest things was you’re able to see the shipment in motion from order,p picking, packing, and shipping and you’re able to see who’s working on your order. Not even the big boys do that. Product arrived very fast and was packaged tight and in very good condition. I ripped into it right away and being this was my first time ever installing a hitch I took my time to make sure I did everything according to the instructions (about 2hrs mainly because I had to remove cover panels and lower the exhaust). Everything installed as advertised and fit my vehicle exactly. I’m pretty excited to attach my new travel rack and test it out. etrailer made it easy and I’d definitely purchase from them again.

Hitch fit perfectly to my vehicle. Bolts were all properly sized. Installation was very easy and it also looks good on the vehicle.

Solid trailer hitch receiver! Smooth & sleek finish. Simple to install. Took me about 30 minutes to install, one person job. There was no need to lift up or jack up my Sorento. Also like that the receiver hides under the bumper (I bought the anti rattle hitch lock separate also on etrailer).
I purchased the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on Sunday 3/23 and had it at my front door a few days later. The hitch was installed on a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.4 by my local Hyundai dealer in less than an hour.
I also purchased the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long - C45791 as the hitch will be used for our Thule bike rack. This allows for ample clearance from the back of the vehicle.
As far as eTrailer.com and their customer support staff...they were excellent to do business with. Very helpful and knowledge. It was welcoming to get personal responses instead of auto-emails. Great user-friendly website too!

Just waiting for warm weather to get the Thule bike rack back on hitch. Still working out!
Quality of product is excellent. Very tight fitting unit. Videos were very good and very helpful. Would have liked in the instructions to make it clear that both bumper alignment pins need to be moved, not just maybe the one on the passenger side, it has to be moved. Also would have liked to have seen how the most forward exhaust system rubber mount was disconnected. I'm sure there is a better way to do it than I did, LOL, it was a real hassle.
I watched the video before ordering. A must. I was able to see what I needed to find out before ordering. It was very helpful. I found out the wiring I had and was able to order the correct harness.
It was sent very quickly.
I opened the box and started .
It took me (doing it alone) less then 1&1/2 hours from start to finish including wiring.
It fit like a glove and I am very pleased with the quality of the produce and the information they provided on the video.
PS: you may want to have not only the required sockets but open end/box wrenches as well as it helped me with the installation.

I highly recommend this project! It is good quality and a good price. I do suggest getting a swivel socket adapter for the hard to reach places. You don’t need to jack the vehicle up but it is easier to jack it up to my your life easier. Installing it was not hard but it did take me a bit to do it. The shipping was good it came pretty fast and had great packaging and on the order they tell you who even packaged it. All and all I really recommend it
The fit was perfect and the overall experience dealing with etrailer.com was outstanding. It took me 35 minutes to install the hitch. The process went with out an issue. I followed the included instructions for the hitch and they were accurate and complete. They offered a video, but I didn't need it. Wonderful experience dealing with this company, will use them in the future
