Product was as described, great company. Prompt shipment, and good communication, would definitely reccomend this company to anyone!1

by:

excellent installation instructions Very please with the product and information given through the web site is second to none ! The only problem I had was the flange on the one side of hitch was a little off and I had to use a jack and hammer to achieve proper alignment. Overall very pleased with everything. I will be back !

I have been looking for a hitch for my wife's 2011 Equinox for some time, but was unable to find what I wanted. My wife found your website, along with an installation video. Not only are we totally satisfied with the hitch, the installation was a breeze (25 minutes including opening the box and jacking up the vehicle).

I am a repeat customer.I am very happy with the products, service and the online videos are amazing. love e-trailer.

by:
2006 Saturn Vue

Customer service did an excellent job of assisting me with fixing my order so that all my components were compatible.
Delivery was quicker than I expected. This was an excellent online experience!

by:

Packaging was damaged when the hitch arrived but the contents were intact. Delivery was very quick. If your vehicle is not new, get a tap and run it through the mounting holes. It will be worth the couple of bucks, believe me. I brushed and oiled the heck out of the holes on my 09 with 25K miles and the bolts started hard and I still had to crank very hard to get the bolts seated.
If I had tapped the holes I could have installed it in less that and hour, instead it took a little over 2. Including the trip to the store for the tap.

by:

Thanks for the hitch. Haven't put it on yet put the ording process was easy and shipping was fast.

by:
Chevrolet Equinox

The CURT hitch worked just as promised. Fast delivery and I found the instructions and video to be a confidence boost and very informative. One thing, if your Equinox is more than a few years old you will have to get a tap to clean the holes out good before you begin. Other than that, all turned out great.

by:

Works great. Installs easily. Incredible service from etrailer. Ordered on a Friday afternoon, product at front door on Tuesday.

by:

This company has figured out customer service. Do it right the first time! I don't usually write reviews, but they definitely earned a good one. I ordered it on a Thursday night and it was delivered the next Monday! Better yet, it fit just like it was supposed to! It took me longer to install because my threads were pretty rusty, but once I cleaned them out the bolts threaded great and the project went very quickly. I could have easily done the whole thing, including wiring, in less than an hour.

by:

great price very fast shipping only took 20 min to install receiver and harness. very happy the service i got.

by:

The tow bar was great and not to bad to assemble. The only thing we had trouble with was. we had to extend the fish wire, since it wasn't long enough,

by:
Chevrolet Equinox

The Hitch Receiver With the Draw bar, fit our new Equinox like a glove. The only difficulty we encountered was that the fish wire wasn't long enough so we had to add wire, in the scheme of things, no a big deal!

by:

Excellent quality. I was impressed with how quickly my items arrived. Excellent customer service. I will buy from e trailer again.

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2005 Saturn Vue
If the goal is to tow a trailer with your 2005 Saturn Vue I have a better setup for you to consider. For a trailer hitch the etrailer part # e98865 has great capacities and since it's a 2-inch hitch it will give you the best options for future accessories and ball mounts. For trailer wiring the Tekonsha brand is the most reliable so for your vehicle the best option would be the # 118418. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller....

  • Does Fish Wire Come With Hitch Installation Kit?
Typically, our hitches will provide the fish wire with the hitch depending on the installations needs. I looked at all the hitches for your 2013 GMC Terrain and all show a fish wire included in the instructions. If you need replacement wire or find a hitch that doesn't include it but you think it would be handy to have we do have several option right here on our website. I have included the link to all the fish wire applications for your convenience.

  • Video for DIY Trailer Hitch Installation on a 2011 Chevy Equinox and Cargo Carrier Recommendation
There is a similar video of the Curt 2 inch receiver hitch, item # 13591, being installed on a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox that is the same installation as your 2011 model, see video link. You will need a 19mm socket, a ratchet wrench, an 8 inch extension, and a torque wrench to complete the installation of either the 1-1/4 inch Curt Class II hitch, # C12291, or the 2 Inch Class III Curt hitch, # 13591. I would recommend going with the Class III hitch for several reasons. First, it gives...

  • Trailer Hitch Class and Capacity for 2015 Chevrolet Equinox for Use with Hitch-Mount Accessories
We offer both 1-1/4-inch Class II and 2-inch Class III hitches for your 2015 Chevrolet Equinox and all can be seen on the link provided for you. Many of these share the same tongue weight (TW, which is downward force on the hitch) and gross trailer weight (GTW) ratings, such as Curt's 2-inch Class III hitch # 13591 and their 1-1/4-inch Class II # C12291. Both of these hitches have 350-lb TW and 3500-lb GTW ratings despite their differing class ratings. All of the hitches we offer include...

  • Installation Instructions for Installing Curt Hitch # C12291 on a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox
According to the directions it states that on the Chevy Equinox, it is necessary to remove the panel at the center of the fascia (this is a pre cut section within the bumper) to provide space for hitch installation. This will not be reinstalled after the hitch is mounted into place. It also states that if you have tie downs present these will also need to be permanently removed for installation of the Curt # C12291 hitch. The directions make no mention about loosening the muffler or the...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For Carrying A Bike Rack On A 2014 Volvo XC60
I can definitely recommend a hitch for your 2014 Volvo XC60, but it will be a Class III hitch as there are no Class II hitches offered for your vehicle. This is due to the size and ability of your vehicle to tow as a Class II hitch would end up being severely underrated. With that being said, a Class III hitch, like the Curt # 13268, will be great for carrying a bike rack or cargo carrier. This is rated up to 400 pounds of tongue weight, which will actually exceed that of your XC60, which...

The Curt Class II Euro style ball mount/ball # C45552 that you referenced will fit in Class II hitch receiver # C12291 from Curt. This hitch is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. Please note that your car can also be fitted with a larger 2-inch Class III hitch, either Curt # 13591 or etrailer # e98865. These 2-Inch hitches also offer better compatibility with hitch-mount accessories like bike and cargo carriers. With this Class III hitch you could use our ball mount kit...

  • Availability of a Trailer Hitch that Will Fit a 2011 Chevy Equinox
There are a couple of trailer hitches that have been confirmed to fit your 2011 Chevy Equinox, including the etrailer hitch, # e98865. You could also use Curt trailer hitch # C12291. This is a Class II, 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch that Curt has confirmed as a fit for the 2011 Chevy Equinox. I have included a link to the installation details. • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 2016 GMC Terrain
Between the Curt hitch # C12291 and Draw-Tite hitch # 36408 both hitches are positioned the same on the 2016 GMC Terrain. Take a look at the picture I have included showing the hitches installed. The receiver locations are identical and the crosstubes and mounting brackets are hidden behind the fascia/bumper. If it were me I would use Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36408 if carrying bikes or cargo. The reason is that the Curt hitch requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 when using...

All you need to do is go to this product page, enter the model number of your hitch in the box that says "Hitch Item Number" and then select the correct manufacturer from the drop-down box. • Leaving Fascia In Place to Install CURT Class II Part # C12291 on 2010 GMC Terrain
I agree, the completed installation would look much better if that piece of fascia was left in place for the receiver to pass through. The problem is that the bottom of the receiver (once the hitch is installed) is pretty close to the bottom of the removable piece. Once the hole is cut, most of if not all of the fascia below the receiver would have to be removed. Take a look at the install video for the CURT receiver you referenced. At the :11 mark, you see a pretty good shot of how the...

The hitch and wiring used on your 2012 Equinox can indeed be reused on your 2014 model. Both vehicles use the same hitches and wiring. However, the installation hardware for the hitch is not meant to be reused and should be replaced. To obtain replacement hardware, go to the the # RHK product page by using the link provided below. • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Chevy Equinox
The main difference between the two hitches you referenced is that the # 13591 is a Class III hitch that has a 2 inch opening which will have higher towing capacities and more accessories designed for it and the # C12291 is as Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening with fewer accessory options. Both will fit your 2013 Equinox, but for the reasons I listed I would go with the # 13591. A 1/2" x 30" FISHWIRE is included with this hitch as well as all of the needed hardware to install this hitch.

This includes the fishwire tool, hex bolts, washers, carriage bolts, spacer blocks, and flange nuts. • Can I use the Class II Hitch From my 2014 Equinox for my New 2019 Equinox if not What is Recommended
I'm sorry but the Curt Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12291 and the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 36408 the two class II options for your vehicle only go up to the 2017 model year for the Chevrolet Equinox. For your 2019 I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C98CR and if you need wiring the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118750. Both of these are custom made and confirmed to fit you 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.

  • Visibility of Receiver Hitch Installed on a 2011 GMC Terrain
When the choice is available, I would always recommend going with a Class III over a Class II. Going with the Curt Class III Receiver, part # 13591 would offer more choices in bike racks and cargo carriers.
