Question:
Back in July 2012, I purchased hitch C12291 and wire harness 56094 for my 2012 Chevy Equinox. Now Im purchasing a 2014 Equinox. Can I reuse the hitch and wire harness on the new vehicle? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
The hitch and wiring used on your 2012 Equinox can indeed be reused on your 2014 model. Both vehicles use the same hitches and wiring. However, the installation hardware for the hitch is not meant to be reused and should be replaced.
To obtain replacement hardware, go to the the # RHK product page by using the link provided below. Type in the hitch part # C12291, select the name of the hitch manufacturer from the drop-down menu, and choose a quantity of 1.
I'll link you to some install videos for the hitch and wiring that you should find helpful.
