Today we're looking at part number CM17195 from CIPA. This is a replacement side mirror for the driver's side on your 1989 through 1995 Toyota pickupthat has a manual mirror on the driver's side. This is designed to match the manufacturer's specs, so it makes the custom look and a custom fit. You have original equipment grade flat glass on the front here, so that means that objects that you see in this mirror here are actually as close as they appear to be. It has a breakaway design so if it's hit, it will fold in or out, and that will deter breakage, and you adjustthis mirror manually. It has a chrome finish that resists rust, and it's easy to install. It bolts to the existing mounting holes, using the existing hardware, and it has the bracket included. So the original equipment number that this replaces is 8794089139, and this mirror does come with a one year warranty. This mirror fit my truck fine, and was easy to install. I was disappointed to find that the mirror vibrates when traveling down the road, making it harder to use, vs. the OEM Mirror, which did not vibrate.
Quick shipment, replacement mirror exactly as described. Fit my truck perfectly and quickly replaced original broken part. Not as heavy-duty as my original 89 Toyota pick-up mirror but does the job well.
I certainly didn't expect the mirrors to be made of CHEAP plastic, I knew they were made of plastic but they are extremely flimsy When they say break away they me BREAK AWAY. I can tell if I tried to adjust these more than a couple of times they certainly would break away.
Mirror is replicated from factory mirror, which is what I wanted. The plastic seems not to be the same quality/density as factory, but is also a fraction of the cost and isnt noticeable after installed. The only thing I dont really like is that the convex property of the glass is odd. Its as if the 'lens' is within the border of the mirror, rather than the entire mirror being convex from edge to edge. So there's a bit of a distortion around the edge of the view. But it works fine. Would buy it again.
The mirror is good quality and I am happy with the purchase.
I installed it on a recently purchased 1996 Nissan pickup.
Warning - the mirror housing is black which does not match my original mirror which is silver. I don't mind at all but some customers might want to be careful so that their mirrors match.
