It looks like a child packed this hitch mount! Let's just throwca heavy steel part, in a cardboard box, with no padding whatsoever! Could you care any less etrailer

I see that the box did arrive in rough shape. I will also let our shipping department know how it was delivered. We will be in contact with you to see if the hitch had any damage.

Very solid top of the line product. Incredibly fast delivery! Fantastic customer service. Unfortunately had to return as my Audi Avant has very little ground clearance (about 5") and my one-mile dirt road has a high crown (roughly 4") so it would scrape all the way to the pavement. My fault. I should have done the math first.

2012 Audi A4

Great price, quick shipping and excellent service. The hitch is solid quality and had it installed by my mechanic. Perfect for my bike rack behind a Audi A4 Avant. I would suggest an adapter with the 4 1/2 rise to prevent bottoming out of the bike rack with cars that are low to the ground.

by:
2014 Audi Allroad

Working great. I use it for a bike rack on my Audi Allroad. Two person install, took about 2 hours. Very helpful to have wheel ramps.

by:
2015 Audi Allroad

Fast shipment, easy, clean install with basic tools on my 2015 Audi Allroad Premium plus. Recommend ramps to elevate the rear and a floor jack to hold the hitch and move it into position if you’re doing this solo.

I use this hitch primarily for a hitch carrier. I am a Hunter and would not want to place harvested game inside of my Audi. This rack allows me to keep the game animals out of the vehicle while being transported to the processor. I also use it to transport power yard tools and gasoline. I can place chain saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc. on the rack and not worry about spilled oil or gasoline smelling up the inside of the car. Just remember not to overload the recommended tongue weight and slow down over road irregularities such as railroad tracks etc.

Still loving it.

Only downside is that I couldn't find a cargo carrier with a 1.25 inch connector to fit this hitch. They all have 2 inch connectors, so I had to get an adapter...which causes the cargo carrier to be farther from the car and almost too low to drive with. This hitch is probably better for bike carriers.

Product wasn't as easy to self install on an 2013 Audi A4 All Road. Luckily there was a Curt hitch installer at a local garage. The product had to be straightened out a little bit. Tabs bent very little from shipping. Good product. Etrailer provided great customer service when I had questions. Thank you.

I have a 2013 Audi allroad. This hitch fits great, though it took me a lot longer than 2 hours to install. I’ve installed 3 hitches on other cars so I have some experience. The instructions that come with the hitch from Curt are not perfect and could use more detail. Also, for my model year at least, the rear bumper fascia bolts do not need to be removed. In fact if you do, you need to put them back before mounting the hitch because the hitch blocks the screw holes. You also need to lower the exhaust system - a lot. To get it back in place you will need to jack it up to get it re-attached. Last thing - the bolts that Curt supply could have been longer, there was barely enough thread to attach the nuts. You need to cut out an opening in the heat shield, not just punch a hole in it. I needed help from two others to hold the hitch in place while threading the nuts. I’ve installed the Eco-Hitch on a VW where I needed to remove the rear number assembly and cut out a piece of the bumper. That was an easier job than this.

by:

I have had the trailer hitch for one year. I had it installed at my local auto shop and they did a good job. I use the hitch to hold my bike rack. I haven't experienced any problems with it. It's easy to attach the bike rack, and it's very secure.

by:
2016 Audi Allroad

My hitch was a bit delayed after ordering. I received an email letting me know it would be delayed and an estimated ETA. What a pleasant surprise! A second email arrived with an update and tracking info. Excellent communication. I can't express how great the buying experience has been. Highly recommend etrailer.

As for hitch, this is my second Curt. Haven't installed yet but looks great and I am confident
I will have no issues.

Our receiver hitch is working great. Installed it on an Audi Allroad and use it with a Kuat Sherpa tray style bike rack. Use it all the time and love it.

by:
2010 Audi A4

I was directed to etrailer by the local hitch installer. etrailer had the parts I needed in stock, and each was delivered on time. The parts were professional installed and allowed me to attach my bike rack.

by:

Install is a bit challenging as you have to lower the exhaust and figure out a way to lift the heavy receiver into place while navigating very tight tolerances on the bolts and fishwire, but once in a very study and seamless OEM looking install. Providing two extra fishwires would be a good idea in case you bend one.

by:

I've yet to install the receiver on my car, but delivery was very prompt, as etrailer.com expedited shipping at no additional cost. I look forward to following back up with pictures of the receiver installed.

Relatively easy install. Excellent instructions. Just plan on having an extra set of hands or some sort of support to hold the hitch in place while bolting it up.

by:
2016 Audi Allroad

Super easy to order. Great tracking and follow-up from the team at etrailer. Fit as expected. Thanks

by:

Installation was a breeze with basic hand tools. The fish wire in particular is a very neat inclusion in the install package.

by:

Thank you for your excellent service , we are a small family business and very much appreciate the promptness of the arrival of your products

by:

As described, good instructions, straightforward install. Thank you!

2013 Audi Allroad

Easy installation - even for a complete newb like me. Strongly recommend reading the instructions before hand and understanding what's needed as far as tools (they're listed specifically).

Can't recommend etrailer higher enough - the ease of shopping on their website, price point, free and FAST shipping, superior communication, and product quality.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring for 2014 Audi Allroad
For your 2014 Audi Allroad B8.5, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11195 which is a confirmed fit. Then you will need a ball mount like # C45521 and Pin and Clip # F-4. Then you'll need a hitch ball. I recommend # A-82 for a 2 inch ball or # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch diameter hitch ball to match your trailer coupler. For your wiring, I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. This will allow...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit for a 2010 Audi A4 Wagon
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7389 is only a fit for the Sedan model of the 2010 Audi A4. Since you have an Avant Wagon you need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11195 instead as this is the only trailer hitch that is confirmed to fit your model. Attached are the installation instructions for you to check out. If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I'd be happy to make additional recommendations as necessary.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Audi A4 Avant Wagon
The only hitch I can recommend for your 2012 Audi A4 Avant is the Curt Hitch part # C11195. The # C11186 is only recommended for the sedan models so it wouldn't work for you. A lot of people prefer the look of round tube hitches as they don't stand out as much as the square tube ones.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2011 Audi A4 Avant Wagon
For your 2011 Audi A4 Avant Wagon the trailer hitch we'd recommend is the Curt part # C11195 that you referenced. Since we don't have any shops near you your best option will be to find a local mechanic to you with a good reputation and let them do the install. Hitch installs are pretty basic for qualified mechanics so this would be very easy for them.

  • How Heavy of a Trailer Can Be Pulled with the EcoHitch for a 2015 Audi Allroad
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7324 which is a fit for a 2015 Audi Allroad is rated for 300 lbs of tongue weight which is the downward force on the receiver tube and 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight which is how much the trailer hitch can pull. I cannot recommend that you exceed any of these figures. The total loaded weight of the trailer cannot exceed the gross trailer weight of the hitch or vehicle, whichever is lower. Therefore you will need to adjust the weight...

  • Will Brophy Rising Hitch Adapter Clear Rear Bumper on 2013 Honda Accord
On adapter # HT5R it measures 3-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright that supports the 2 inch receiver. For Curt hitch # C11681 for the 2013 Honda Accord it should measure about 2-1/2 inches to clear the rear bumper so the adapter would work. However, the use of an adapter reduces the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent and it also puts additional stress on the hitch. That would mean instead of 200 pounds the tongue weight capacity will...

There isn't a specific trailer wiring harness listed for a 2014 Audi Allroad so I checked with Curt to see what they recommend. They list the vehicle as having a 3-wire system (the turn signals are on different bulbs than the brake lights) so you can use # C59236 to add wiring to the vehicle.

It only has a 1-1/4" opening but you can use 2" accessories with the Brophy Hitch Adapter part # HTAD just keep in mind your capacity will be reduce 50%.

I was able to confirm with Curt that the correct hitch for the 2009 Audi A4 Avant Wagon is the Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C11195, which will provide you with a 1-1/4" Class I receiver on your vehicle. If you're going to be towing a light weight trailer with this hitch you'll also need trailer wiring and a ball mount/hitch ball combo. The Curt # C11195 is indeed compatible with your 2013 A4 Allroad. The rear fascia does not need to be trimmed for installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch # 11195 on the 2011 Audi A4 Avant. You will need to trim the heat shield underneath the vehicle for access into the frame. This is not an extensive cut and will not be seen when the hitch is installed. You are also correct that when using a 1-1/4" receiver that you are limited to a 2 bike rack. I have a solution for you to carry 4 bikes, but using a hitch extender or adapter like the # HTAD reduces the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%, so it will not be a good option.
