I think it came out great. I had to do some additional mods to make it fit. With the ranch hand bumper the hitch is 2 inches to short. I took two additional receivers cut them down and used them as spacers. Also needed to purchase 6 3 1/2 class 8 bolts. (Note: The ranch hand bumper also removes the bumper mounts which is the third attachment point.) In addition I also drilled to additional holes in the top of the hitch, which I used two of the supplied bolts. I was going to weld the spacers on but felt it was not necessary after looking at the install.1446065

And this is a very heavy towing receiver that was installed to upgrade the towing capacity from the OEM towing receiver to Class V. Installation was not bad at all, although it is difficult to lift in the place without assistance. (I used ratchet straps.).

Do yourself a favor and lower the spare tire, which allows for easier access to the bolts on top of the frame. Also, I suggest covering the ground underneath with large sheets of cardboard or carpeting to avoid scratching the receiver when it’s on the ground and ready to be moved into place.

All the requisite fasteners were included. All in all, I think it took me about an hour and a half to install. Unfortunately, the supplied bracket for the 7 pin plug is not powder coated, so I painted it to match the receiver.1101482

Excellent product , very good alignment and design, looks as strong as the original aftermarket one I had on the truck.The only problem I had with it at all was the delivery of it , although very timely to the tee actually , was the delivery company ( must have been lazy loaders or delivery people) The corners of the box were ripped as if it was too heavy to lift so the box was ripped at each end due to dragging it ,causing some hardware to get lost, in fact the bag looked as if the box wasn’t done giving birth to it, literally it was hanging out of the box! And then left on my bluestone landing to be found , also scratching the stone! Product is great, delivery driver needs to figure out what he/she wants to do for a living and improve!Sorry for that part of negativity but you did say you wanted to improve if possible.1548741

As like the day I installed it, It still looks like new have not had any issues pull a trailer 3 to 4 days a week still like new

I think the trailer hitch receiver itself is a great product. I think the shipping process needs to be revaluated. I received the box directly from UPS which mutilitated the box the item was sent in. I told the driver the assembly contents were missing and after inspection I was correct. It was said if I took it off the truck it was mine. But if I rejected it I would have to have the factory send me a new box. Which if had the same service as this box it probably end up in the same conditon. Again, the product itself is good the shipping needs to be addressed.1387383

2002 ChevroletSilverado

I bought this hitch for my 2002 2500hd 8.1L 496BB/ Allison Chevy Silverado. Super fast shipping, took about 30 minutes to install once my old hitch was removed. I sped up the install with a floor jack and an air wrench. It was almost a direct factory fit(no drilling). There are no holes or a mounting plate on the receiver end to bolt into the bumper core(like a stock hitch has) thus reducing the amount of impact the stock bumper can take. I have use it at least once a week to tow my 3,500lb boat, various trailers and my 35 foot camper to Cape Cod and back from central Pa and as far south as the CBB tunnel area. It shows no signs of wear. I just wish it had the bumper hole plate as well.366077

So... the OEM cat III hitch rusted up pretty good on my pickup. When we loaded the trailer with a load of hay - about 150 bales (lots of hitch weight), it bent down -- a lot. So I bought a hitch from the local parts store, "it should fit" was the line. It didn't. Ordered a better one (B&W) from etrailer, it was 80% of the cost, shipping was on a special, no sales tax, and all this with the guarantee it would fit. It did. Installation on the cat V hitch was about 20 minutes. It arrived right on schedule and the best part.... no surprises. Thanks Julie at etrailer. I'll be back for more. This is the 5th hitch I have installed over the years, and by far the easiest, best quality hitch I have seen. It fit perfectly and no drilling was required. It is replacing the OEM hitch that came as part of the tow package that rusted severely and required being attached to the rear bumper for support. This new hitch is much heavier and stronger than the original, and I could not have lifted up by myself, but because it is a 3 piece assembly I was able to loosely mount the 2 side frames and then slide the center section in without any help. Great hitch! I absolutely beat the crap out of it every time a trailer is hooked to it and it hasnt bent like the stock 2500hd hitch did. Hasnt rusted yet either even being daily driven in ohio salt. It even holds up to taking it to local truck pulls934203
