This hitch is ready for real work with a 2" x 2" receiver opening and Class III rating. It’s built to handle 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight. When paired with weight distribution, those numbers jump to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. It’s the right setup for towing small trailers or carrying heavy accessories without second-guessing the strength behind it.
The hitch is fully welded for maximum strength and a precise fit. A gloss black powder coat finish is layered over a protective base coat to keep corrosion at bay and maintain a clean look after years of use. The solid steel construction feels substantial and dependable, ideal for towing, hauling, or mounting accessories that get used hard and often.
Installation doesn’t require any welding or complicated modifications. The hitch bolts directly onto the frame using existing holes, and all the mounting hardware comes in the box along with detailed instructions. I bought a used Dodge pickup a few years back but it didn't have a hitch on it. I took it to a few different shops and asked them what it would take to get a hitch put. For some reason no one knew what to do. Then I, by chance, punched up "Installing Hitch on Dodge" on youtube and etrailer came up right away and explained exactly what I needed and how to put it on. Of course I got on the website and everything was right there ready to order. Super easy and clear. Package arrived today and I test fit it today. It's perfect. I was apprehensive to install this as I was used to the "traditional" receiver hitches...... I was pleasantly surprised at how robust it was built and the quality of it…… the install took me less than 30 minutes (including fishing the bolts through the bumper support arm). I installed it with the Hopkins (#37185) 7 pole and 4 pole trailer light kit that fit right in the hole in my bumper (2002 Dodge ram)…. Makes for a nice setup.
I am extremely happy with this solution. The instructions were well thought, just like the design. I installed this hitch in about 25 minutes and the fit and finish is perfect. I was very happy with the price and shipping. Delivery was quick; right to my front door in about 3 days. This solution saved me about $100 over the estimate given to me by the local "trailer and moving van" rental place.

its working perfectly
I received my hitch in less than a week. I was very impressed with the build quality and it fit my 2002 Dodge Ram perfectly. The instructions were great. I was most impressed by the wire fish tool that came with the hitch. This screwed onto the end of 2 bolts and allows you to fish the bolts thru the frame and out 2 frame holes. I have installed other hitches that left it up to you to figure out how to accomplish this task on your own. This tool plus the legible instructions really won me over.

Great quality, install took about 20 minutes, fit my factory hitch perfectly, did have to modify my chrome bumper by bending downward lip in front of hitch about 1 inch but it was no big deal and the truck is 23 years old.

I havent used the hitch hardware much but I like it. The tailgate is the star. I like it a lot and the open design makes parallel parking in the city so easy. I also get a lot of questions and nice comments about the look.
