Question:
Trying to figure what’s need to carry duel e-bikes 70 lb each on the back of our truck camper with a back door. Looking at hitch extender $675. With swagman swivel $479 and Hollywood sport rider $529.. We have a 2” hitch on a ram 2500 big horn. Is that too much weight and will it extend out too far? Any advice would be helpful? Thanks

Hey Deb,
The bike rack and swivel hitch you mentioned, # S86SR and # HLY84FR, are great options for what you are trying to do. The bike rack is going to have plenty of capacity for your bikes.
The TorkLift # TLE1536 is a hitch extender that requires the TorkLift Superhitch to attach to. It needs a dual receiver hitch to install so a regular factory 2" hitch will not work with this hitch extension. The longest extender that we have for a normal 2" receiver is the 18" # e48YR. This is going to work with the hitch you have, however any extender like this reduces the overall capacity of your hitch by 50% so you will have to make sure that your hitch is still going to be able to handle all the weight behind it.
If you want to let me know the year of your Ram 2500 I can take a look and see if we have a TorkLift hitch that will replace your factory one and work with the # TLE1536. How much extension to you need to clear the camper?
