Reese doesn't offer a gooseneck hitch fit for your 1997 Ford F-150 short bed so we don't have a bracket kit we can recommend to fit the hitch to your truck. The best option we have would be a new hitch kit like the Curt part # C60722 which comes with everything you'd need to install in your truck.
