Good quality item. Only down side is the tube to fit ends together is a specific size and hard to find at reasonable cost. Around $250 for the tube overall result very solid and secure latch.

We used this product on some of our dryer doors and it worked well. Operators where able to open and close the doors with ease as before they had to slam them closed and yank them shut. Good product.

Works well. Seems to be holding up good (commercial use) though I would have preferred a heavy duty option. Maybe there was one and I just didn't find it. Stainless steel for our WI winters is great. I put these on one trailer that needed it badly and the other guys saw them and replaced the other 2 trailers with the same. Good product at a good price.

The only surprising thing about this product is the hinge fastener holes are round instead of square for a carriage bolt. These products are used to secure trailer doors and dissuade tampering. Why they didn't go with a carriage bolt hole is a mystery.

  • Replacement Cam Lock Door Latch For Commercial Truck and Trailer Doors
    Based on your image it looks like you only need a Replacement Handle Assembly # PLR158-100-SS welded onto the cam lock that you already have. If the entire assembly needs replaced the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch w/ Split Bushings for Large Enclosed Trailers # PLR658-SSP is designed to be used with a 1" diameter pipe since we do not have one that is for your 84" trailer door. The parts are made of stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance on your trailer.

  • Is Welding Required for the Handle on the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kits
    I do have an option for you but the handles included with the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kits like part # PLR658-SSP must be welded to the pole as there are no other options to attach them. If you can get away with a 55" long pipe then you can use the 55" Lock Side-Door Bar Lock Assembly part # 3057-55 which is already welded for you but best option would be to obtain the above and just run by a local muffler shop and have them tack the new handle on as I am sure they would not change...

    The Global Link Vise Lock you'd mentioned, part # 295-000024 would be a good addition, but it would only replace the puck-style lock you'd used. You'll still need to replace the latch kit with something like part # PLR658-SSP. From your photos, it looks like they took a cut-off wheel to the latch handle. Replacing your existing setup would leave the trailer doors similarly vulnerable. I believe the best solution would be to use a layered approach secure the trailer to prevent or delay...
