  • Maximum amperage:
    • Stop/turn lights: 3 amps per circuit
    • Tail lights: 6 amps per circuit
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your trunk, behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the rear scuff panel and pull back the felt trunk liner to access these connection points. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your trunk.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Powered Tail Light Converter with Surface-Mount Technology

A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.

Curt SMT Circuit Boards

Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.

Each Curt circuit board is made using high-quality components that are pieced together in the most technologically savvy fashion, leading to greater predictability and reliability in functioning.

Very nice installation. Works as expected. Installation instructions do not clearly indicate P1 and P2 connector locations.

It fit perfectly and was easy to install. Use it all the time for when I tow the car on my dolly.

I've bought a few trailer hitches in the past and none had the paint quality of this curt trailer hitch. Little tricky to fish the bolts through the frame. A little patience goes a long way in doing that. I put ithe trailer hitch on in the driveway without a jack. Shipping was fast and free.

I am
very pleased with my purchase. Quick and easy install no splicing just plug and play. I did watch the etrailer install video prior so that made the installation even simpler. The only issue I noticed is that the double sided tape that is used to mount the module does not hold very well. I did this install yesterday and today the tape had already given way. That is however an easy fix so I'm not complaining just making observation. That being said I definitely recommend this product!!!

The wiring harness install went as expected, could not have done it without the excellent video. Did need to add some more zip ties, but otherwise the parts were complete. No problems in operation with a trailer.

This wiring harness install was pretty straight forward. Simple plug and play for the most part. My install was a little trickier than normal due to my vehicle being a hardtop convertible. (2012 Chrysler 200 Limited) I had to be real particular as to where to route wiring to keep them from getting pinched by mechanisms. Zip tied them out of the way.

Have not installed it yet but am not worried about it because i never had any problems with your products in the past.

I’m a YouTube do it yourselfer here, after having this wireing kit for a year now, it’s still operating exactly as it should. Not only does this product do what it’s designed for, it was a breeze to install and I’m one who is scared easily away from any tasks with electronics. Thanks for selling a great product.

Worth the expense to keep from cutting into my factory wires.

Almost perfect but my running lamps didnt come on. I figured it out after some fiddling. My LED lights on my car were reducing the voltage so I spliced into a hot wire to power my running lamps. Otherwise perfect.

Fit perfectly in my 2012 Chrysler 200. I found a large plug under the dashboard (chassis is used for other models - looks to be for clutch). Was able to route the power line through the interior so didn't have to run it underneath the car. Just poked a hole in the plug and pushed the wire through it.

  • Will Lights Keep Working On Car If I Stop Installing C56211 At The Rear Light?
If you are making the connections with the # C56211 at the rear tail light, the lights will keep working on the car. You will also need to make the ground connection to make this work. There is a possibility of blowing a fuse in the meantime because the install should be done with the battery disconnected and once you reconnect the battery, there might be too much draw on the lights without the power wire connected.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C56211, will fit convertible and sedan models of the 2011 Chrysler 200 so it will fit your 2011 Chrysler 200 Hardtop Convertible. • Curt T-Connector for 2013 Chrysler 200 Limited 4dr Sedan W/V6 Engine and S Package
It looks like you're on to Mopar's little game! Chrysler is no different than any of the other car manufacturers in wanting you to purchase parts from them, rather than something available in the aftermarket that's much more reasonably priced. The recommended Curt trailer wiring harness for your vehicle is the # C56211 wiring harness. The C56134 harness you mentioned has been discontinued and is no longer available. The design of the C56211 actually draws the voltage to power the trailer...

  • Is it Necessary to Connect the Power Wire to the Battery on a 2013 Chrysler 200
Yes, it is necessary to run the lead from the Wiring # C56211 that runs from the battery to the trailer connector. This wire carries the voltage necessary to power the trailer lamps. The wires that are connected to the tail light assemblies tell the converter that the vehicle tail lights, turn signals or brake lights are operating, but do not provide the voltage for the lamps. Vehicle manufactures have determined that the circuits feeding the tail light assemblies on the vehicle cannot...

  • Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2013 Dodge Avenger
If you had a small trailer for your motorcycle you could tow it with your 2013 Dodge Avenger with the Curt hitch part # C11133 installed but if you were thinking about using a motorcycle carrier there's no safe way to do this with your Avenger. For trailer wiring you'd then want the part # C56211 which installs pretty easily. Then for a ball mount part # C45522 and hitch ball # C40001.

To get the exhaust off of the rubber hangers you will need to spray them down with some lubricant like WD40. Then you can use a small pry bar or other flat tool to push the exhaust off the rubber part and then let it rest on the strap. To use the fish wire you will just thread the bolt onto the end,...
