Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver, Ball Mount and Wiring For a 2013 Chrysler 200

Published 04/23/2022

Question:

Im using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4inch # C11133 purchased from etrailer.com with my 2013 Chrysler 200. Im hoping to pull a small trailer. Specifically the Uhaul 4x7 Utility Trailer with an empty weight of 630 lbs to move light furniture and supplies from the home depot on occasion. Uhaul requires a 1-7/8inch or, 2inch hitch ball 2,000 lbs. minimum. Im not sure what the correct Hitch Ball and Drawbar is to purchase. Also to be safe, what is the max load I can use in this configuration, so I dont do anything unsafe. Thanks!

With the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11133 on your 2013 Chrysler 200, Curt recommends using one of the following ball mounts.

First is the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45522 with either a 1-7/8" Ball # C40001 or 2" Ball # C40018. Or you can choose one of their Euro Style Ball Mounts with a 1-7/8" # C45591 or 2" # C45592 ball. Whichever you choose you will need a Curt Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4 to secure it in your receiver.

You will also need a Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56211 to control the tail lights on the trailer.

According to the owners manual for your Chrysler you should not tow more than 1,000lbs or exceed 100lbs of tongue weight.
