Older incandescent lights can fade or burn out quickly. This LED trailer license plate light uses 2 white diodes that last up to 50 times longer and shine brighter while using much less power. At 12.8V, it draws only 0.027 amps, giving you strong illumination without overloading your trailer’s electrical system. There are no filaments to break or bulbs to replace—just dependable light that keeps your plate easy to read at night.
Moisture and road spray can ruin traditional lights, but this one is built to stay dry inside. The housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single polycarbonate unit, keeping water out of the internal components. It’s fully submersible, so even if your trailer goes into the water—like at a boat ramp—you don’t have to worry about short circuits or corrosion.
This light mounts flat against your trailer surface using a bracket (sold separately), so there’s no need to cut holes or recess it into the frame. The design works with a standard 2-prong plug for quick connection. Once mounted, it sits snug and solid, keeping a clean, factory look.
Tight spots around a plate bracket or frame are no problem with this light’s compact shape. Measuring just 2-1/2" long, 1-1/4" tall, and 13/16" deep, it tucks in neatly while angling light perfectly down on your license plate. The clear lens and white LEDs give a crisp beam that makes the plate easy to see without adding bulk.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics LPL91 series sealed license plate light. This license plate light features a sonically sealed waterproof design and it is designed for use with license plate bracket part number LP25SB which is sold separately and available at etrailer.com and it can also be used with other designated license plate brackets as well. It has the tabs here on the side so that way it easily snaps into place on the license plate bracket that's designated for use with this light and it holds securely in place. You'll notice that it is a two-wire design and that runs to this female PL-10 plug. This would be used in conjunction with a plug that looks like this, a PL-10 male plug. Not included so if you don't have that you could definitely just cut this off, strip back the wires for hardwired applications.
In that situation your white wire would be your ground wire and black wire would be for power.The light contains a total of two LEDs. Now, LEDs are great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they are much more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments with LED systems. This unit contains a polycarbonate lens and housing.
It's very strong and durable. It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. A few measurements to go over with you real quick and then we'll hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. Overall length measurement going this direction, outside edge to outside edge, is about 2-5/8 inches.
Overall width, it's about 1-3/16 to an 1-1/4, right in that area. The overall thickness or depth from very top to very bottom is about 13/16 of an inch.We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power and then we'll also turn off our overhead lights. You can see it in a lower light setting. So here you can see it sends out a nice, bright, consistent signal. This would be angled down which would broadcast that bright, white light towards the license plate.
Again, a 2-diode design or 2 LEDs so it optimizes the overall light output. Now, when it comes with a power draw at 12.8 volts, we're looking at 0.027 amps and Optronics also puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics LPL91 series, sealed license plate light.

Bought to replace original light. Delivery was prompt and on time. The new one fit the slot with no problem. Hasn't tested it yet.
Nice led light for your license plate with great shipping time
One of the few 15 series lights you can get with white LED's. Fit was as expected. Connected right up with existing PL connection via the included pigtail. As you can see in the photos, this connection is outboard of the light rather than being right on the back of the light like the light it replaced. Of course, that light wasn't LED.
Also, in case your wondering, my light did not have the etrailer decal on it like the pictures show.
This light needs some sort of adapter plate to mount to anything. As sold it is worthless. I don't know what plate it needs or where to source it. Every other trailer light I purchased came complete.
Finally a led light that I don't have to worry about the bulb burning out less than a year. I had the hardest time finding this light for my trailer license plate. This one had a wire then plug while the original old non-led had the plug right on the back of the light. Didn't matter but worth mentioning. Installation was easy just as any other lights, just plug and go. Nice white light.

The led lights at etrailer are the best you want quality that's were to go. I've bought others rset at others retailer they dont stand up to one I bought from etrailer.
