Modern vehicles use delicate wiring and electronics that can’t handle extra load from trailer lights. This harness uses a powered converter that senses the vehicle’s brake, turn, and running light signals and draws power directly from the battery instead of the factory circuits. That means your trailer lights get reliable power without risking blown fuses or error codes in your vehicle’s system.
Instead of splicing into wires, the harness plugs in behind each tail light housing. It picks up the signals it needs right there and sends them through the converter box to the 4-pole flat connector. No complicated tracing or cutting—just unplug, connect, and route the converter’s leads where they’re protected from moving parts and weather.
The included converter box is fully sealed, so you can mount it on the vehicle exterior without worry about water damage or corrosion. Once secured with the double-sided tape on a clean surface, it stays out of the way yet close enough for easy access when routing wires.
The harness includes an inline fuse holder, ring connectors, and a butt connector for running the 12-volt power wire straight to the battery. That fused line protects both your trailer and vehicle wiring while delivering steady current to all lighting functions through the 4-flat plug.

Dane,Thank you for your review.It is important to run the power wire directly to the positive side of the battery and not any other power supply on the vehicle. This wiring harness is made for vehicles that have sensitive wiring and is designed to pull amperage directly from the battery. Failure to connect the power wire to the battery may result in damage to the vehicle wiring. I have attached a link to help with routing the power wire.
