Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Curt Stretchable Cargo Net

Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Curt's Stretchable Cargo Net. So this is going to be ideal for your roof baskets and it's a perfect fit for the Curt Roof Basket. It's going to be also good for any hitch mounted cargo carriers, or just to basically keep everything in the bed of your truck. It is going to be an elastic cording as you can see here, it's going to keep all that nice and secure. It is going to stretch about 38 inches wide to about 44 inches long, and that's before it starts stretching.

As you can see here, I have a lot of wiggle room, so it's going to be able to fit even the larger cargo carriers that you may have. So we are going to have some plastic hooks here with a loop, so you can put your finger in there, stretch it down and these plastic hooks aren't going to damage or scratch any of your cargo carriers, cargo baskets, or the bed of your truck. It's just going to go underneath here like so, and snap into place. And this is just going to be a great way just to get everything sucked together a little bit just until you have maybe less wind noise down the road and just give you more peace of mind. So this Curt Cargo Net was made specifically for the cargo basket by Curt. And honestly, if you have one like this, I would definitely go ahead and buy the Curt Net as well.

And it's really going to fit all the mid rain size cargo baskets. So I would definitely recommend this to you guys.So this is what it looks like fresh out of the box, and it's really easy to install, so let's just go ahead and do that. So for the bed of your pickup, all you really need to do is utilize the hooks on the inside of your cab and always do the one towards the cab of your truck first. And you can stretch them all the way out. This is going to be useful in a variety of different ways, it just depends on what you're hauling, but as you can see, it does stretch quite a bit.

Perfect. Well, everyone, that's going to do it for a look at the Curt Cargo Net.

  • Recommended Roof Rack and Cargo Basket Options for a 2018 Kia Soul
In order to carry a cargo basket on the roof of your 2018 Kia Soul you are going to need a roof rack. The correct roof rack for you is the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System part # TH711220, part # TH460R, and part # THKIT4051. Then for a roof basket I recommend the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket part # C18115. This basket measures to be 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep. It has a 150 lb weight capacity though you will need to confirm the vehicle's roof weight capacity beforehand. You should...

  • Recommended Cargo Basket for a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek
For your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, I recommend the Yakima LoadWarrior, part # Y07070. It's compatible with most factory and aftermarket roof racks, so whichever you have on your Crosstrek, this will most likely work. Its inner dimensions are 38-1/2" long x 38-1/2" wide and it has a weight capacity of 140 pounds, so you'll be able to carry quite a bit in it. I've linked to a video review of this basket below.

  • Availability of Replacement Canister Drain for Pace Edwards
There is only one version of the canister drains for Pace Edwards tonneau covers part # PE55TJ and it's this version. If there's a way to secure your loads so that they don't shift as much that would be the best solution we can help with. Maybe a cargo net like the part # C18200 would be helpful?

  • Cargo Carrier, Cargo Bag, and Net Recommendation for a 1-1/4 Hitch on a 2014 Subaru Forester
While we do have a great lightweight cargo carrier that fits your 1-1/4" hitch on your 2014 Subaru Forester, the only aluminum ones we carry are designed only to fit 2" hitch receivers. The manufacturers unfortunately discontinued production of our aluminum carriers that fit 1-1/4" hitches. With that being said, the 19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 is the second-lightest carrier we currently carry that fits a 1-1/4" hitch. This weighs 30 pounds. The first lightest we carry is the slightly...

  • Hitch Cargo Carrier, Cargo Net & Hitch Lock for 2014 Fiat 500L
The hitches made for your 2014 Fiat 500L are the light-duty Class I type and in one of these you will need to use a Class I-compatible hitch-mount cargo carrier. One thing to keep in mind is that the combined weight of your chosen carrier and what you load onto it cannot exceed the hitch tongue weight (TW) rating of 200-lbs. This means that a good choice will be one of the lighter carriers that will not use up too much of the hitch capacity. The Curt hitch carrier # C18110 weighs in at...

  • Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Prius
Since fuel mileage is a concern you are going to want to go with a hitch and a hitch mounted cargo carrier over a roof rack option. For a hitch I would recommend the Draw Tite Hitch part # 24808. This would work well to support a cargo carrier. For a cargo carrier your best value would be the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145. For a stretchable cargo net to secure your items to the carrier you would want the part # C18200. Everything I recommended is very economically priced. The hitch...

Yes, the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18152 can be mounted on the front of your truck if you have a front 2-inch hitch. To mount it to your hitch you can use Pin and Clip # PC3 or to protect your investment you can lock it to your hitch with Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880. This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and you will absolutely be able to use the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 with the Curt hitch on your Civic. The cargo carrier weighs just 30 lbs and since the hitch has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity you will are left with the ability to carry 170 lbs of cargo in the carrier. • Recommended Roof-Mounted Cargo Box For 2020 Honda CR-V With Factory Crossbars
I have a roof-mounted cargo basket that will work for your 2020 Honda CR-V with crossbars, but the Aluminum Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 44" Long x 39" Wide x 7" Deep - 150 lbs # 288-09200 will most likely not work for you since it requires a crossbar spread of 17-3/4" - 24-3/4". If you can adjust your crossbars to 24-3/4" then it will work as long as your crossbars are not more than 2" thick and no more than 4-3/4" wide. • How Can I Carry More Camping Cargo With My 2010 Hyundai Elantra
I do have an option for you for extra storage but the owners manual on your 2010 Hyundai Elantra does not recommend using that vehicle for trailer towing. A lot of people still do it but it is not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and could lead to damage to the vehicle. Instead I recommend using a cargo carrier on your hitch. If you do not have a trailer hitch yet, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I hitch part # 24795 if you have a Sedan or the Draw-Tite Class I hitch part # 24844...

  • Recommended Hitch Mounted Platform Carrier For 2013 Kia Sorento SX
The lightest carrier we offer that has the biggest shank rise and will fit hitches that are either 1-1/4 or 2 inches is the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18110. This carrier has a 3-3/4 inch shank rise. Since this will fit both Class ll and Class lll hitches, this may work well for your 2013 Kia Sorento. This carrier weighs only 30 lbs and has a weight capacity of 300 lbs. If you want to secure the carrier to the vehicle hitch, I recommend a Hitch Receiver Lock, part # 2866DAT. This...

  • Can Larger Cargo Bag Than Hitch Cargo Carrier Platform Fit Without Issue
You can use a larger than needed cargo bag on a cargo carrier like what you mentioned. Basically you'd have more cargo room available than needed but as long as you secure the bag down well it won't be an issue at all. You can use a cargo net like the part # C18200 which will easily keep the excess bag and cargo secured. Basically you'll just stretch the net over the bag and it will hold everything in place. I attached a review video for this net for you to check out as well.

  • What is a Waterproof Storage Solution for a Roof Cargo Basket?
It is absolutely fine to leave a roof cargo basket on when it is not in use. This adds a rugged style to the vehicle and means that you will not need to find space inside your home or garage to store the rack between trips. A recommended setup for a cargo basket on a 2016 Jeep Renegade is the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack, part # MPG216 combined with the Curt Roof Mounted Basket, part # C18115. This provides additional cargo space and is expandable with the Cargo Basket Extender, part # C18117...

Regarding your 2010 Honda Crosstour, I had to do a little research since it is not in our fit guide for this product. After speaking to my contact at Curt, I have found that the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # C18115 is a compatible fit so long as your factory-mounted roof rails and crossbars meet certain standards. This cargo basket will fit crossbar spreads of 29-1/2 inches, 22 inches, or 15 inches. This measurement is obtained by measuring from the center of the front crossbar to...

  • Best Hitch Cargo Carrier for a 2012 Honda Accord with a Class I 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch
I personaly like the cargo carriers with the wire flooring because it's more supportive depending on what you plan on transporting with the cargo carrier. For this reason I'd go with the Curt # C18110. This cargo carrier's sidewalls also have tie-down points to secure your gear. Since your hitch is a Class I 1-1/4 inch receiver, it is very likely that the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle is lower than the 200lb rated hitch. You will want to check the placard on the inside of your...

Both of the hitches offered for your 2013 Kia Soul are light-duty Class I types, Draw-Tite # 24839 and Curt # C11110. No hitch maker offers a higher-capacity hitch since the vehicle itself cannot support more tongue weight than their 200-lb rating, or their towing capacity of 2000-lbs. I do realize you have no intention of towing a trailer, just using a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, but even so the vehicle capacity remains what it is even if you were to bolt on an accessory that is rated...

On the back of your Sprinter-based motorhome you can use a fixed (non-folding) 2-inch hitch-mounted carrier such as the Curt # C18145 but we do not recommend a folding type carrier since their folding/hinge mechanisms introduce a point of weakness. • Hitch Adapters and Cargo Carriers for 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon
Hitch adapters like # HTAD do offer convenience, in that they allow you to install an accessory of one size into a hitch of another size. The trouble is that using any hitch adapter changes the overall geometry of the system, and this results in loss of 50-percent of the hitch's rated capacity. The capacity is lost because the accessory item will now be further away from the hitch (due to the adapter) and this causes extra stresses on the hitch tube that lower its rated capacity. So, if...

A nice feature is the open floor design of the carrier, that offers support for larger items but will not allow road debris, dirt, or grime to build up on the carrier and your cargo. • Can Cargo Carrier be Used Behind an RV
There is a cargo carrier you can use on an RV but it is recommended it be one with a completely solid shank as opposed to one which folds and tilts; the reason for that is the amount of movement at the rear of an RV will be much greater than the back of a passenger vehicle and a solid shank will give your carrier the added stability to handle that much movement. The cargo carrier I recommend is the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18152 because like the etrailer.com Cargo Carrier it measures 60"...

Of the two I recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 because it has a larger usable space to carry cargo, gives you a shank with a 3-3/4" rise for added ground clearance and the closest part of the carrier is more than 11 inches from the center of your...
