Is there a metal version of this part or something else that can be done to make it more robust? One of my cannister drains broke off because a load shifted in the bed of my truck and hit it. I feel like this is likely to happen again given the location of the cannister drains.

There is only one version of the canister drains for Pace Edwards tonneau covers part # PE55TJ and it's this version. If there's a way to secure your loads so that they don't shift as much that would be the best solution we can help with. Maybe a cargo net like the part # C18200 would be helpful?
