Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the air ratchet. This is going to be a half inch drive to help speed up your install time. So, you just connect this into an air hose to help you get a really fast job done, or make your job last a lot quicker. It's not really intended for any kind of torquing application. It only goes up to about 90 pounds, so you'd want to use this whenever you have the nuts or bolts broken loose and you just want to run them on or off and do that pretty quickly. It has a nice trigger there at the bottom.
It feels pretty heavy, so that makes me think that it's probably going to be pretty heavy duty. We've got our little switch here to go from left to right. It looks like it's pretty well lubricated in there so it should last for a while. Overall, it feels pretty comfortable. The connection to that air hose is this little plug here at the bottom, so then that would thread on to your air chalk. So again, half inch drive, 90 pounds of torque.
This can take up to 90 pounds of pressure, so 90 PSI. The average CFMs for this is 5.3 fires, or free speed is 150 RPM. So whenever you're just letting it rip, it goes around 150 times per minute. Bolt capacity goes up to half an inch. Air inlet is a quarter-inch NTP.
Hose size that would work with this is three-eighth inch NTP.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the air ratchet from Performance Tools. I hope this helps in deciding if this is the right choice for you. We do have some other tools here at etrailer.com to get the job done a little bit easy and faster, so check those out right here and thanks for watching.
