Specs:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a sturdy material that is great for use on marine trailers. A PVC roller is more durable than a rubber roller, but it's also soft enough to absorb road shock when your boat's in tow. And PVC is corrosion resistant, even in saltwater.
PVC is also non-marring, so it won't damage or discolor your boat upon contact. Rubber rollers can leave marks on your boat's hull as you load and unload. With PVC, on the other hand, you won't need to worry about any scuffs or smears on your boat.

What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the C.E. Smith bow roller replacement. So this is gonna be good for if you're rubber worn here in the center wore out and you replace it with something a little bit stronger. This one's gonna be made out of PVC, so we're gonna be taking a look at that.
This would be example of the old one, so this rubber one matches the bells on the side. Let's just say it worn out and you need to replace it, you can get this PVC one. It's gonna last a lot longer than the rubber and it can be your replacement part. Now, I would suggest not just buying the center roller, but if that's all you want, I get it. But the bells are definitely needed too, so if those aren't worn out, why replace 'em But you can get bells in the same style as this with that PVC to go with it.
Taking a closer look at it, this'll be great from when you're pulling your boat up on here because it gives the boat something to lean onto. It also cushions it, so it doesn't just hit straight metal. And also, shock absorbs when you're going down the road. The nice thing about the PVC is it's also not gonna leave marks on the bottom of your boat, so when you do pull it up against here and it hits, it's not gonna leave streaks or scuffs or anything. So we're with saltwater and freshwater.
It's also corrosion resistant, so you don't have to worry about the elements getting into it, leaving it on the trailer. One thing I will note, it doesn't come with its own hardware, so you'll have to have that bolt ready to go for that replacement part. Overall, I think it's a great replacement part if you only want to get that roller again. I'd recommend getting the whole thing just because you get those bells with it that not only match, but also are gonna last longer. 'Cause if you've already had to replacement center, you might as well replace the sides too, 'cause the rubber's gonna wear out.
But otherwise, this is the exact part you need to replace that roller to help you out with your boat. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped..
