Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the TecNiq waterproof amber LED boat accent light. Now, this LED light will provide a nice, bright amber light for your boat. It's great for upgrading or replacing your accent lighting, step lighting, walkway, or even underwater lighting. This is a nice, sealed waterproof housing and lens unit.

Has an IP 68 rating. Does use a military-grade construction of the circuit board, and it uses the urethane potting, which will offer better protection than the standard epoxy potting. Now, the LEDs they use are premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long-lasting and vibration resistant. They're rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. The housing, again, is a durable polycarbonate housing.

Has a UV-resistant lens. And as you can see, it is a clear lens over three amber LEDs, and it'll provide 180 degrees of linear lighting. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. And it is a surface mount installation, meaning you would mount this using a protective horizontal, vertical, or 45 degree mounting cover, which we do sell separately on our website. Now, the hardware to install them is not included. It does require two screws. And this does hardwire to your application. You can see the wire length is about seven inches. And it's two wires, a yellow and a black wire.

One's a ground, one's the power. So, what we're gonna do is I am gonna hook this up to some power just to show you how bright it is. First, I wanna do some dimensions on it. Overall length, 2 1/8 inches long. Height, 5/8 of an inch tall. Total depth, 5/8 of an inch deep. Light output's 240 lumens. Input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts. And the power draw on this is only .12 to .14 amps. So, what we're gonna do is go ahead and hook up our ground and then our power. And with those hooked up, go ahead and turn on our light. And you'll be able to see there's the three amber LEDs that are lit up. Turn off the overhead lights. And you can see right there how bright it is. And just to zoom out to show you the distance, how bright it is. Lights up a pretty big area. Zoom back in and turn back on our overhead lights. We'll turn off our power.
