Stock suspension hardware can wear out fast when miles start to add up. This MORryde suspension upgrade kit replaces thin factory shackles with 1/2" thick steel straps that are twice as strong as standard parts. The heavy-duty design resists elongation and keeps the suspension tight and stable, extending the life of your trailer’s LRE suspension with Correct Track alignment and lift kit.
Creaks and squeaks are often a sign of dry or worn hardware. This kit includes wet bolts with built-in grease fittings that let you easily keep the suspension moving freely. Regular lubrication through these fittings keeps the bronze bushings in top shape, cutting down on metal-on-metal wear and noise for a smoother, quieter ride.
Plastic bushings can fail quickly under load, but these bronze bushings hold up season after season. With an outer diameter of 11/16", an inner diameter of 9/16", and a 1-3/4" length, they’re made to last longer and stay tighter in the spring eyes and equalizers. Paired with wet bolts, they form a solid, low-maintenance setup that resists rapid wear.
Everything needed to renew your suspension comes in one kit—12 shackle straps, 8 shackle brackets, 4 shear spring brackets, 24 wet bolts, 16 bronze bushings, and 24 locknuts. The 2-1/4" shackle straps and 9/16" bolt holes are sized for a perfect fit on triple-axle trailers using MORryde’s LRE leaf spring suspension with rubber shear springs and Correct Track system. It’s a straightforward way to boost strength, reliability, and ride quality all at once.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this MORryde shackle upgrade kit for triple axle trailers with the LRE leaf spring suspension and the OEM correct track hangers. Now, this heavy duty shackle kit is an excellent upgrade for your RV suspension. This kit is designed for triple axle trailers with the LRE leaf spring suspension, and the two and a quarter inch shackles, and the OEM correct track hangers. Now, on this kit, what's nice is it's a half inch thick shackle bracket, which are thicker and stronger.
They're more durable than your standard quarter-inch thick factory brackets. They also use the bronze bushings instead of the plastic bushings for increased durability. And the bolts that are used on these shackles are greasable bolts, also known as wet bolts. They're easily maintained. They help minimize wear and tear versus a dry bowl.
Now basically, in a multiaxial system, the shackle is light, we'll link the springs and the equalizers in your suspension system. And the shackles are the part that'll handle the most movement and weight in a suspension setup, therefore, they're the most likely component to wear, and should be checked frequently. The shackle bolts, these are what'll hold the shackle straps. These are your straps to your leaf springs and to your equalizer. And normally it has dry bolts which over time can wear out and fail.
As we mentioned, these use the wet bolts. So, besides having these thicker straps here, the wet bolts that they use have a nice grease zerc fitting on the end, and that allows you to apply grease to the inside of the bushing. So if you slide your bushing off, you'll see a little hole right here. So when you attach your grease gun to this zerc fitting pump in the grease, it'll go on the inside of the bolt, and come out that hole. And then with your bushing installed, the grease will be on the inside.
So it gives you good lubrication on the bushings. Keeps wear from happening at these connection points. Now, this upgrade kit will replace the shackle straps, the bushings and lock nuts on your RV suspension system. This kit does come with everything I laid out here on the table. It includes 12 of the two and a quarter inch long shackle straps, and they're half inch wide, we mentioned. And when I say two and a quarter inch long, basically they're measured from the center of this hole to the center of that hole. That's the measurement we're saying when it's two and a quarter inches. Comes with over here four of these three bolts straps, 22 of the nine sixteenths by three and three eighths inch long wet bolt. Comes with two of the nine sixteenths by two and seven-eighths inch long wet bolts, 16 of the bronze bushings, 24 of the flange lock nuts. And then right here, comes with eight of the sheer spring brackets with the hardware. Does also come with a nice set of installation instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. And these parts are made in the USA, but that should do it for the review on the MORryde shackle upgrade kit for your triple axle trailers, with the LRE leaf spring suspension and the OEM correct track hangers..

That's awesome to "hear", Tom. I know the clanking of trailer suspension can get loud so if it helped reduce it by that much, I call that a major win!

The new shackles with the wet bolts have worked as expected for 6000+ miles. Important upgrade for anyone who plans on towing their camper any distance.

Those old bushing look gnarly for sure! How often are you out on an adventure with your travel trailer, Jimmy?

This was my first tandem axle unit. As I was pulling it home, it had such a twitch and shake that I pulled over to check it out. All bolts, etc. looked to be fine. I came across a review of the Road Armor and replaced my existing suspension. I have had zero issues and the trailer pulls smoothly. I highly recommend them.

The kit is intended to replace the bolts, shackles and bushings on both sides of a tandem axle trailer. It should have included the following: 8 Shackle straps 8 Wet bolts (for attaching the springs to your equalizers) 6 Wet bolts (for suspending your equalizers and springs from the hangers) 14 Bronze bushings (for spring eyes and equalizer bolt holes) 14 Locknuts If anything is missing, let me know and I'll get it straightened out for you.

That's awesome to hear, Frank! Not having to clean up the camper once you arrive to the site must feel great. When's the next camping trip?

Thanks for the awesome detailed review, Kevin! Really glad Kyle and Daylon were able to help track down the issue and get you pointed toward the right setup. It sounds like you put a lot of care into the install, and it definitely paid off. Making use of those stumps was pretty genius too. Safe travels ahead!
