Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Dragon LED Oval Boat Accent Light

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Dragon Waterproof Amber LED Oval Boat Accent light. Now this small oval LED light with four diodes is going to give you bright amber light for your boat and this is going to be great for upgrading or replacing your accent and courtesy lighting. Now as you can see, I already have this connected to power and even with my bright studio lights on here, you can see how bright this light is. But I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights off here, shine this on my table so you can get an idea of what it looks like in the dark. Let me zoom out here. And even from a distance, it shines a really good light.

I'm shining this on the wall behind me. These are premium LEDs and they're energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant. This light has an output of 32 lumens and it's rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. Now these amber LEDs are sealed in a durable polycarbonate waterproof housing and a clear UV and impact resistant lens unit. This has an IP rating of 68.

The circuit board is of a military grade construction and the urethane potting offers better protection than common epoxy potting and controlling the heat transfer inside the light. And this is a surface mount installation that requires two #4 screws and those screws are not included. And this will of course hard wire to your 12 volt DC systems with these nine-inch long wires. Now the input voltage is 9 volts to 14 volts and this has a power draw of 0.04 to 0.07 amps. Now we do carry protective covers for this light that are sold separately.

So let me give you some overall dimensions just so you have a good idea of the size of this little light. Looking at the overall length, we are sitting right at right at about 1-3/8" long. And looking at the overall width, we're sitting right at about 3/4" wide. And then the overall thickness, about 1/2" thick.

And the distance between the mounting hole center to center, see if I can line that up for you with those wires. We're sitting there right at about an inch center to center.
