Drop ladders are great for providing quick access to your boat or swim platform from the water. The fold-over design of this ladder allows for easy access to the water. When stowed, this ladder will have an over-platform position, which means that it will fold up and store on your deck when it's not in use. To use the ladder, simply flip it out over the edge of your swim platform and telescope the legs out.
When it comes time to secure the ladder and head back, all you have to do is retract the legs and swing the ladder back to its stowed position on the platform. It will wait for you there until it is needed again.
The ladder rungs are covered with UV-resistant, non-skid plastic step pads that ensure steady footing. The ladder is constructed of high-quality 316 stainless steel, which resists corrosion and pitting. The steel has also been electropolished to remove impurities and create a smooth surface free of imperfections. As a result, the ladder is easy to clean and even more resistant to corrosion than untreated stainless steel.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the telescoping transom drop ladder. This drop ladder provides an easy way to board your boat after a swim. It does feature a fold over design, meaning that the ladder folds up on the deck for storage and down for use. All you gotta do is take it, push right here on the center, see there that it retracts and then it folds up all the way on the deck. Really easy out of the way low profile design. When you're ready to use it, swing it out and unfold.
It's a two step design. It does fold away to protect from damage while your boat's in motion or when it's not in use. The telescoping legs make it very easy to quickly extend the ladder when needed. And when it comes to the construction we're looking at electro-polished 316 stainless steel. Very strong and durable. It's extremely corrosion resistant.
On each rung we have a nonskid tread. It ensures safe secure footing. Also the brackets are pre-drilled, they're already attached, all you gotta do is install your hardware. Hardware's not included but the detailed instructions do list or recommend hardware to use for your installation. But the holes are already pre-drilled and it's ready to go out of the box as long as you have your own hardware, go pick some up.When it comes to the dimensions of the unit, when extended, I measured from very top to very bottom and got a measurement of 23- 1/4 inches long.
The actual ladder from edge to edge measures 10-3/4 inches wide. When it's in the retracted position, so one step, top to bottom is 13-1/4 inches long. Now when it's in the stowed position, in this position here it measures 13-3/8 from back to front including the bracket here so that's overall. Side to side including the hardware measures 11-3/4 inches wide and from the top of the deck to the top of the ladder is going to be about a inch and a half tall. The rungs on this unit are spaced, I took a measurement, some people like to go top to top, but I do want to point out that each one is slanted at a downward angle so it allows you to easily get on each rung. That slanted design just really helps increase safety, provides sure footing.
So what I did is I measured from the center of where it attaches to the center of where the other one attaches and that measurement is 11-3/8 inches center on center.Weight capacity on this ladder is 400 pounds. The brackets from front to back are 5-3/4 inches deep and the contact surface, I'm going to spin this around here, so the area that actually makes contact with the deck, that's 4-5/8 inches long by 1-5/16 inches wide. And then the mount holes on each bracket are separated front to back by an inch and a half. That's going to do it for today's look a the telescoping transom drop ladder.
it,s very nice
