Specs:
Drop ladders are great for providing quick access to your boat or swim platform from the water. The fold-over design of this ladder allows for easy access to the water. When stowed, this ladder will have an over-platform position, which means that it will fold up and store on your deck when it's not in use. To use the ladder, simply flip it out over the edge of your swim platform and telescope the legs out.
When it comes time to secure the ladder and head back, all you have to do is retract the legs and swing the ladder back to its stowed position on the platform. It will wait for you there until it is needed again.
The ladder rungs are covered with UV-resistant, non-skid plastic step pads that ensure steady footing. The ladder is constructed of high-quality 316 stainless steel, which resists corrosion and pitting. The steel has also been electropolished to remove impurities and create a smooth surface free of imperfections. As a result, the ladder is easy to clean and even more resistant to corrosion than untreated stainless steel.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a telescoping transom drop ladder. This drop ladder features a three-step design, provides an easy way to board your boat after a swim. It also features the fold over design, so it actually folds up on the deck for storage, and it easily unfolds for use. So the folding design is really nice because it protects the unit from damage while your boat's in motion, or while it's not being used . while the ladder's not being used.So to move it to a stowed position it's really easy. The unit just retracts into itself, and then it folds over.
It's got a really nice hinge and bracket design, and the telescoping legs make it easy to quickly extend the ladder for use. So you unfold it, extend it, and then let it drop into the water. When it comes to the construction, we're looking at electropolished 316 stainless steel. It's very strong and durable, and it's extremely corrosion resistant. On each step, or on each rung, you'll notice that it has a really nice non-skid step pad. That ensures safe, secure footing.
It also features pre-drilled mounting brackets with quarter-inch diameter holes. Mounting hardware not included. When it comes to the dimensions of the unit, when it's fully extended from very top to very bottom, measures 34 and 1/4 inches long. From this point here to the outer edge on the other side is 11 and 1/4 inches wide. Now when it's in the fully stowed position like this, it measures 14 and 5/8 inches deep, so that's front to back. Outer edge to outer edge, including the hardware, is 12 inches wide, and from the top of the deck to the top of the ladder is about an inch and a half tall, so a nice low profile design. Each rung is separated from the other by 11 an 3/8 inches.
Now sometimes when people do the measurements, they like to measure from the top of one step to the top of the other. These rungs are actually slanted, so that way they're easier to get your foot on to when you're ready to get back on the boat. And so what I did is I measured from the center of where it's actually welded on to the uprights, so center on center is 11 and 3/8 inch, and that's the same between each one. Each foot pad measures 7 and 3/16 inches long by an inch and a half wide or deep. Weight capacity on this unit is 400 pounds. The mounting bracket, I measure from the front of the bracket to the back of the bracket, and that was 7 inches long.
The contact area, so right here where it makes contact with the deck, that's about 5 and 7/8 inches long by 1 and 9/16 inches wide. Each bracket has two holes pre-drilled. They're separated on center, front to back, by an inch and a half, and then from this set of holes to this set of holes, they're separated on center by about 10 inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the telescoping transom drop ladder with the three-step design.
