Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now there's five main components that are required when flat towing the vehicle, and the first one is gonna be the base plate. That's gonna be the structural mounting point that goes onto the frame of the vehicle. That's gonna allow you to attach the rest of your components. And moving along with that, you're gonna be attaching to your tow bar, which is gonna be the connection point between the base plate of the vehicle and the hitch on the RV. Now the base plate also has a mounting tab for our safety chain loops, which are there just in case of an accidental disconnect.

To do that, we'll be using the bolts, the flat washers, the lock washers, as well as the hex nuts. We'll go ahead and install this hardware loosely until we're sure everything lines up. We'll go ahead and put both the driver and the passenger side on.
