Most Popular Drape Over Tire - Make Connections for 2021 Ford Explorer

After trying unsuccessfully to locate tire chains for our 2015 Ford Explorer I turned to the Internet. The first company to come up on the Google search was etrailer.com. They had the chains I was looking for and shipped them the same day. I have not yet attempted to install them; however, they are just what I expected, based on past experience.

I bought these for my wife's 2019 Ford Explorer. Haven't had a chance to use them yet but I am impressed with the design and ease of installation. They also come in a very handy semi-hardshell case with a handle. That was a real bonus. The chain seems aggressive enough for snow and ice conditions.

I placed my order late in the evening. I received immediate notification that it would be processed. The next day I received notice that they had upgraded my shipping from standard shipping to two day shipping free of charge. This was the first time I have ordered from e-trailer, but it wont be the last time. If that is how they take care of a brand new customer, they can count on me for repeat business.

These chains were amazing! I was a bit hesitant to go with chains over cables due to the car's manual saying to use cables, but after talking to Bob at etrailer, and watching the install videos, I went with them (on all four tires) and am glad I did! We went up to Yosemite for the New Year, and it snowed the day we drove in. We got through the gate into the park without needing chains, but once inside, the roads started to get covered, and though we have AWD, we don't have snow tires and the chains seemed like the best option. We pulled over and had the chains on all four tires within about 20 minutes. The car ran like a tank through the snow (and later, ice-covered roads) and I'm really happy we went with the chains rather than cables. After putting on the chains, we drove about 100 yards to check and tighten them. They were actually pretty tight - only had to tighten one. They really really came in handy driving through the Yosemite Valley, and the email responses I got from Bob prior to buying these showed me great customer service. The shipping speed was top notch as well, and overall, I'm happy that we went with etrailer to get these chains for our snow-covered trip to Yosemite.

Chains were ordered on a Sunday, and delivered on Wednesday! Amazing fast service! I have not had the ned to use them yet, but am heading down to Yosemite tomorrow -- very glad I have them in my truck, just in case...

Ordered chains on Monday, received them on Wednsday, earlier than I ordered, and exactly what I ordered. Can't beat that with a stick!

A good choice for our new 2025 Highlander Hybrid XLE with 18" tires. Have occasional winter mountain snow needs, and like the easier install Chains came somewhat tangled, needing some patience to straighen our the first time. Expect less issue repacking them in the good carry case. A practice install highly recommended, as these are NOT the standard chains I had been used to. Seemed to install fairly tight first time. Just need some snow now. Happy with my choice so far. L

Written descriptions in the instructions would be nice. Took abut 20 min of flopping around till I got it right. Thank goodness for the picture of what hey are supposed to look like when mounted on the case or I still would be scratching my head. Also I'm not sure if you need to drive about 50 yards and correct the tension. But I guess I'll figure that out. All that said. After you do your trial install and see what's what, I don't see these taking much time to put on at all!

Only ordered because I needed chains for a trip. Paid extra to have chains delivered before my trip. Contacted etrailer to state the same. Chains arrived after I left for trip. Website needs to be corrected to reflect actual delivery times.

Great Quality. Quick Installation and very easy to take off. Self-tensioning worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend them. I bought these to use on my 2023 Rav4 TRD Off-Road OEM Falken AT Tires. I highly recommend installing them at home a few times before heading up. Watching the etrailer videos on YouTube was also a huge help.

I just received the chains so have not done a test fit yet or found out how they work. What I can say is that the etrailer staff has been great from answering my questions before purchase and keeping me updated on the delivery status. Very impressed! On a cement floor you can have the chains installed and snugged in under 10 minutes. Also an excellent increase in traction for a RWD van. Definitely recommend the konig XG-12's. Haven't installed while travelling but I don't think it will be very difficult.

These are really easy to put on and take off. I have used them three times on my 2019 chevy colorado (4wd) to deal with high elevation mountain snow. After each use, I washed them, hung to dry and then put back in the truck. They are so awesome, I recommend them to others.

Great product and excellent service. I originally ordered a chain from Konig and chose expedited shipping because I needed them to arrive in time for an upcoming trip to the Sierras. It was on a Sunday afternoon and within an hour I received a call from someone at etrailer letting me know that the product I had ordered was on back order and suggested this Titan model which was in stock (and less expensive!). They shipped the next day and I received them in time. I did use them on my 2018 Highlander on the trip. They installed easily, fit well and the traction was excellent even when driving up hills on local Tahoe roads in a major snowstorm. Highly recommended.

Great product and fantastic service too. I have only tried on the chains and have not driven in them yet but the case and quality of the items were very good and they were very cheap too. After my order they contacted me because the items were still on route to their warehouse and could not be distributed however they kept me in the loop all the way and provided a tracking number too. They came in just over a week so considering that they had a delay on receiving the item at their end and it had to cross east to west coast plus free delivery thrown in I was very impressed with the service I received. Apologies but can't comment on the actual chains as I haven't used them in anger yet however they were really easy to fit without the instructions, takes about a minute and all the different parts are colour coded. The Alloy chains are rust preventative but they feel heavy duty with a good all round pattern for extra forward and leeway grip, not a tacky or cheap feeling product, the case is pretty heavy when packed away so quite happy so far. I live in Buffalo NU. We get some snow! My company work van absstinks in the snow even with extra weight and snow tires. I got stuck in a very long driveway and had to break out the chains. Tons of snow & wind blowing. Still was not much difficulty popping then on. Got out of my situation with ease!! Highly recommend these!

Jessica was very helpful selecting which chains to purchase. They fit well, the price was very competitive and arrived quickly. I had to deliver some material to a mountain location and needed to go down a couple of steep inclines. I put chains on all four tires of my truck and one axle on the trailer. I didn't have any slipping or sliding on an icy snow-packed road.

Just tried them on and drove down the block in now snow. 2025 Nissan Rogue Rick Creek Edition. 235/65R17 Tires. For perfectly. Definitely put them on for practice once or twice in your driveway BEFORE you need them. Not difficult; but there is a learning curve the first time you put them on.

I have a 2019 Honda CRV and have never owned tire chains before so I dont have anything to compare these to but they are easy to put on and take off and they conquer a steep icy unpaved drive way in The Catskills perfectly. There are some plastic parts that probably should be metal. One of them - the tension hook - broke on one of my chains (see photo) and when I reported this to etrailer.com with a photo to prove it, they sent another set. So I am pleased overall with the service from etrailer.com but am only giving 4 stars for the product on account of the breakage. Also they rusted after one season but that hasn't impacted performance.

No snow yet but the practice installation went great! So simple my 6 year-old helped make sure I was following the instructions properly. Time will tell if I need them and how they work in the upcoming North Idaho snow plowing season. Fit great on my 275/70R18 tires. I appreciate the carrying case they came with, also!

the chains that Gwendolyn sent me fit perfectly. And, they arrived in time to take them on a 2,900mile trip. As it turned out, I didn't have to use them, as the weather let up, and got through the Rockies and the Cascades with no need for chains. Better to have them and not use them, than need them and not have them.

I bought a pair of the Titan tire chains last winter. I only really used them a few times, but when I needed them, it was a night and day difference in traction! Very pleased with this purchase.

Nice chains. Easy to install. Not 1 min, but easier than ladder style. No need to lay down on ground behind/next to tire, or roll back/forth. I had a little issue w chain "buncing" in front/behind tire fottprint. I will plan on install per instructions THEN roll 1/4 turn to finish tensioning/centering. Tensioning scheme seem a bit marginal. I bought a spider bungee to do the tensioning more securely. Would be a nice touch if Titan would waterproof/laminate the included plain paper intruction page. Pretty nice carry case. I have not driven on these yet, so we'll see. These are a bit lighter & easier to install than my '80s vintage ladder style chains. That's what I was wanting & seems what I got. I'm happy, as long as they stay on in use.
