Can I Flat tow a Ford Escape 2021 FWD or does it have to be AWD i was looking at the hybrid option.

Yes, the 2021 Ford Escape hybrid can be flat towed, and there was no differentiation in the Ford towing guide between FWD or AWD capabilities. There are a number of parts needed in order to flat tow your 2021 Ford Escape hybrid which I'll list for you. Keep in mind this only applies to the standard hybrid and NOT the plug-in hybrid. There are no base plate fits for the plug-in hybrid.

The Roadmaster Base Plates will help your Escape keep it's clean look due to its removable arms. The SD tow bar is the best option because it has long arms which make it much easier to maneuver when towing, integrated safety cables and an adjustable tilting head so a high-low adapter won't be needed. Having these features on a tow bar means you won't have to purchase them separately, saving you additional expenses.

I really like the Flexo-Coil wiring kit because it is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback, keeping your Escape's electrical system safe. As for the braking system, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is by far the best option because it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your Escape is going to get the same amount of braking power. This results in much smoother braking than most systems which send out a pre-set amount of braking power, giving you a more comfortable and easier-to-control ride when flat towing.
