This wiring kit will tie into the wiring of your tail lights and use them to signal instead of running magnetic lights whenever you want to tow your vehicle. Braking System: If you want to replace your older system then I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524. This system requires setup each time you want to tow but only takes a few minutes. It also comes with a battery charger to keep your vehicle's battery charged. If you want to keep your current braking system and just add in the battery charger you can with the BrakeBuddy Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit Item # BB54FR. From the generic 2021 Equinox manual I'm not seeing a need to pull any fuses unlike older models.
