When you’re not towing, the front of your vehicle still looks stock. The Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit uses a hidden bracket design that tucks neatly within the grille, keeping it out of sight and protected from scrapes. Once you twist and pull out the removable drawbars, there’s nothing left but a clean, factory-style finish. It’s a simple way to keep a sleek look without bulky brackets hanging out front.
Connecting your tow bar is quick with the EZ series twist-lock system. Just insert the arms into the brackets, twist to lock, and you’re ready to go—no pins or clips needed. When it’s time to unhook, twist them back and pull them free. The mechanism keeps things tight and secure during towing but makes it easy to detach when you’re done.
This kit bolts directly to the frame with no welding required. Each bracket is computer-cut from steel for precise alignment and exceptional strength, giving you confidence mile after mile. The black powder coat finish resists corrosion and road wear so it stays solid through weather changes and cross-country mileage alike.
The EZ Base Plate Kit connects with all Roadmaster tow bars right out of the box and can be paired with other brands using the correct adapter, such as the Roadmaster Base Plate Adapter # RM-033 for use with Blue Ox tow bars. That flexibility makes it easy to reuse your existing gear instead of starting from scratch.
Everything you need—including instructions and mounting hardware—comes in the box. It took 2 1/2 hrs start to finish. Watch the video they have on the site. Everything went together easy. Getting the bumper off is the hardest. Take your time and be gentle. I broke one clip but doesn't seem to hamper the fit of the bumper and it went back on easy and lined up. Great product
Went together a lot easier than expected. With a 2011 Terrain though, you don't need to tap the new holes behind the bumper core. reuse the three bolts that take the bumper off in the exact same spot.

installed as easy as pie. Everything was handled very well good company to deal with.
This base plate was ship fast got it in two days and in good shape. have not install it yet but it look like all the parts well be ease to put on my GMC Terrain.
The EZ base kit arrived a day earlier then expected, was packaged very well, had all the parts and excellent instruction. I followed the instructions and the install when as outlined, no problems at all.
etrailer.com was a very helpful and easy to work with, I highly recommend using them.
The installation went well and everything fit as best as you could expect on a unibody vehicle. I only found one issue with my Terrian SLT, on step 7 it states there are 4 bolts on the bumper and mine only had three. Not an issue until you install reciever brace on step 8 and find out the 4th hole in step 7 that didn't have a bolt in it is not threaded. The bolts that you took out in step 7 are self threading. So I used one of them and it worked out great.
I haven't used the Base Plate for flat towing as yet but give etrailer a five star on taking my order and getting it delivered on time. Thanks: Chuck
fast delivery easy install done in 2 1/2 hours at a slow pace only problem in my mind sell for 5 dollars more and include red Loctite in parts kit

after some 4000 miles since I installed it has performed flawlessly. A finger full of grease smeared on pins makes everything come apart easily when you arrive at your destination.
This is the second time I've installed a Roadmaster kit fro e-trailer. Excellent products with reasonable instructions. E trailer got it here quickly for a great price, satisfied.
Ordered a bunch of stuff for hooking up a towed. Everything arrived as ordered and quick shipping. Everything fit the application without much trouble. Communication from etrailer was excellent. I would purchase from etrailer again.
Very good product at a great price. Instructions and video are for a 2013 terrain and things were a bit different on my 2015. When all screws and clips are removed the front piece cannot be just pulled forward. There is a rear facing clip and you have to pull to the side to remove from this piece. (pics attached)There was no PS cooler attached in front on mine. Remove washer bottle totally which consists of 2 nuts and 1 bolt otherwise you will never get back up plate for top brackets in. If you remove horns it also makes installing the top brackets much easier.
Roadmaster base plate for 2010 GMC Terrain. Very detailed instructions, great videos. Product was as described, no holes to drill, just replace factory parts with Roadmaster parts. Everything went together very well. I used the instructions supplied along with the video on my laptop. Hardest part was popping the bumper shroud back on due to colder temperature. I have a fair bit of experience with rebuilding classic cars so have lots tools and reasonable mechanical ability.

I have towed my Terrain about 3500 miles with no issues. It tows and tracks extremely well. I put red paint marks on the bolts that are easily seen, so that I can see at a glance if any bolts have loosened up. I use a Roadmaster All Terrain tow hitch and SMI Duo braking system.
Purchased the towing adapter for my GMC Terrain a few week ago, received it on time & boxed not damaged. Watched the videos’ about three time on how to do it myself and started one evening and finished it the next morning about three hours with Beer Breaks, LoL. All the parts fix perfectly, had no problems with any of the parts, Product is real sturdy and if you don’t know where to look at the bumper you will not see the hide away receiver brackets. Very nice product, do it yourself and save
Up loading two photos if it will let me one is with hide away brackets installed and the other one you can see is my complete tow bar attached to the hide away brackets

Have been using this tow adapter now for a while and everything works out fine, Easy to connect. I did purchase the Wiring harness from the tail lights to the front of the car instead of making it as I usually do and the connection to the RV from that connection and glad I did, the wiring harness also went easy and very fast.
