Video Transcript for Feature Review 2" Hitch Ball-CB26C

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this two inch chrome hitch ball. Has a 7,500 pound weight capacity. Now, this hitch ball will provide a connection point for your trailer's coupler. The diameter on this is two inches and the weight capacity is 7,500 pounds. And both those are stamped on the top.

You can see a two up here for the two inch and then 7,500 down here. They do use fine threads on the shank, provides exceptionally tight, strong grip when it's installed. Does come with the lock washer and the nut. They're all included to install this. Now, this is a durable steel construction.

They do use a corrosion-resistant chrome finish on the ball, and this part is made in the USA. Last thing I wanna do is just give you some dimensions on the shank. So the length of the shank is right at 2-1/4 inches. The diameter on it is 1-1/4 inches. But that should do it for the review on this two inch chrome hitch ball with the 7,500 pound weight capacity.

Works; stationed in Germany and needed a euro size hitch to work with my Thule European bike rack... this along with a euro to US electric adapter I picked up online and I had everything needed to transport our two electric bikes ... thanks

by:

Great product. I have a European trailer which requires a 50mm hitch ball. Etrailer was the only company I found in the USA which offered a 50mm hitch ball. I just returned from a 2,500 mile trip with no issues with this product. I highly recommend Etrailer for quality products.

etrailer is great to get a whole bunch of unusual size parts. I have a European moto trailer that I picked up in Germany while I was stationed there and it takes a 50mm ball. I needed another ball and this was perfect.
I also got a wiring converter for the euro style wiring many years ago and it's still holding up.

A 2" ball is .8mm too large *facepalm*

We specialize in supporting the sailplane and soaring community. Unfortunately, the sport is dominated by European manufacturers and a lot of the sailplane trailers and peripheral equipment use metric components. The 50mm Hitch Ball allows our customers to avoid changing they trailer hitches to a 2 inch hitch ball as well as allow them to use sailplane towbars without changing out the standard couplers that come with them.

Product as stated, excellent service and fast shipping. I'm stationed in Germany (APO AE address) and the item was shipped via USPS Priority Mail. I already had a class 3 6,000 lb U.S. style hitch, so the item 1 inch diameter shank fit perfect in the 1 inch hole that is on the hitch. The ball is 50mm so it is a perfect fit for all of the European trailers. Now all I need is an adapter from the 7 pin U.S. that is on my U.S. Spec 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee to go to the 13 pin EU plug for European trailers. A guy that I work with has already made one for his Jeep, so I'm waiting for him to make me one.
Very satisfied with the etrailer.com and would buy from again.
Thanks,
Jeff

50mm ball with 1" shank is kind of hard to find. I'm glad etrailer could provide it. I was hoping that the brand C.R. Brophy Machine Works, Inc. of Clackamas OR and Germantown TN was an indicator that the hitch ball would be Made in USA but unfortunately it is not - it's made in China like everything else.

by:

perfect fit

All companies should be ran like Etrailers,
I
needed a 50mm ball, 1 7/8 to small 2" to big...for my car hauler.
Etrailers received the 50mm on Monday, shipped it out the same day and I received it this Thursday morning.

Guess what, when calling you actually have a person on the other line... I'd like to give a special thanks to Shery T and Chris.

I got this to use with my Uebler i21 bike hauler I brought back from Germany. I was concern the tapered shank would prevent a problem, but it seems to work just fine (see pics). I haven't hauled with it yet, but I'm hopeful. Made it China :( but if it works, I'm okay with it.

by:

The hitch ball looks good, but arrived way late (two weeks after order). Unclear if postal service or etrailer "dropped the ball" :)

by:

Exactly what I needed for my European bicycle rack.

by:

I needed a heavy duty 50mm hitch ball w 1" dis. shank and that's exactly what I got. 8,000 LB rating) My trailer is originally from New Zealand and 50+ years old and needs 50mm and not trying to cheat w 1 7/8". Wanted new ball to put on new mount for different tow vehicle. Came in about a week by USPS. Since no rush, didn't opt for faster shipping.

Inexperience sometimes leads to the selection of the wrong product for the desired job. Such was the case here, not understanding the information needed to select the correct product led to the wrong part for the Goose-neck ball needed for our application. I must say that the quality of the part that was received was outstanding. The machine work, threading, and overall appearance of the product was without a doubt Class A quality. Thank you for helping us get the issue resolved. There was no problem with getting what we ordered, the problem was on our end. Thanks for your assistance in resolving the problems.

Hello, the product I bought from etrailer was a two-inch ball for a 1993 John Deere tractor. I can now use this tractor to tow larger farm carts and our big log splitter. The ball is of excellent quality and works perfectly. It is also made in USA so I know it will outlast me. Well done etrailer!

This is a very unique hitch, small ball, fat and short shank, and the only 2" ball that fit my heavy duty sway-bar hitch system. A longer shank would have prevented free movement of the sway bars. I would have preferred stainless but the chrome is holding up so far.

  • What Head and Ball do I Need for My Reese Trunnion Bars with 22210E Stamped on Them?
Hello Norm, You are correct, the Reese Trunnion bars with 22210E stamped on them are the 800 lb spring bars used with the Reese SC Weight Distribution System, which has since been discontinued. • What Hitch Ball Size For 2023 Lance 1475 Travel Trailer
Hey Mike, The hitch ball size should match the trailer's coupler, and per Lance, your 2023 Lance 1475 travel trailer uses a 2" hitch ball. So you'll just want to match the diameter of the hitch ball's shank to that of your ball mount. For example, if your ball mount has a 1-1/4" diameter hitch ball hole you could use the 2" Hitch Ball # CB26C, or if it has a 1" diameter hole you could use the 2" Hitch Ball # SC23-C. You could also use a ball mount that has a 2" ball already installed,...
