I purchased my trailer valet and drill attachment a year ago so that I could move my 20’ camper and jetskis easier. As a disabled vet moving the jetskis into my backyard via a gate to the main road was time consuming and took me an hour. Now it takes me 5-10 minutes. I store my trailer to the front of my home and wanted to make it harder to steal, but had no way to get the front of it close to my fence. With the trailer valet I am able to disconnect from my truck and move it into place within 15 minutes. This is a game changer for me because I can do it by myself and my trailer and jetskis are safely stored without much fuss. I often get asked how I move the front of my trailer so close to my fence. The trailer valet is the best thing I could have purchased. I can get in and out of tight spaces without hurting myself and without anyone else needing to help me.

by:

For us, it's not a "replacement" (except for my rotator shoulders)
Hope it works;
Mechanical, it fits our 5X, and we'll SOON see how it works with a massive drill

by:

Bought this as a spare. Trying to be prepared for when it gets misplaced.

by:

Works very well with my new trailer jac k.

by:

This part in itself is great, but the Valet itself not so much. I have the Valet attached to a trailer parked on grass. The tread of the tires are equivalent as street tires on icy roads. The Valet is as designed when on packed dirt and asphalt.

by:

This attachment works well. It is not difficult to use BUT one MUST be careful to keep the brake handle fully in the release position or one CAN break a wrist while using a drill motor - which is not the fault of the attachment.

by:

I have an extremely narrow area that I cannot back up my boat between the side of my house and fence. My truck cannot make the turn required and it is slightly uphill. With the drill attachment and my 18 volt brush less drill moving the boat into place using the Trailer Valet is an easy task that I could not do without this device. It was the deciding factor that allowed me to purchase the boat.

by:

The uspc tracking is a little deceiving. It did not show as received for several days, it did however ship in a timely manor (about a week)
The trailer valet adaptor is of nice quality and works very well. Even though it is overpriced in my opinion.

by:

Works as described/designed. Probably should be included in the purchase price of the trailer valet or even simpler make the attachment point universal rather than proprietary.

by:

it's factory original, works great

by:

Works great with drill, just be very very careful not to let brake handle on valet engage, guaranteed you’ll lose a big chunk of skin on your hand when the drill spins on you…

by:

I am glad I bought the trailer valet unit. It has made getting our travel trailer in and out of our garage a lot easier. I would say that using the drill option for moving the trailer is useful, but the torque can hand you with some surprises, so you need to think ahead as you use that option. One useful hint: take the regular handle off before using the drill. In general, this device has worked well for us.

by:

Tried everything to try and make the trailer valet xl work. I tried communicating with the company representative but ran into dead ends. etrailer tried to help but they didn’t manufacture the unit. This was supposed to move up to 10k pounds but not even close. Every time a boat and trailer was tried to be moved on flat concrete the torque would just pull the unit up under the trailer or just pull out of the trailer tongue. I was able to move one boat , it weighed 1500, far from the advertised weight. I now just takes up space

I am sorry to hear that the Valet is not working for your needs. I see from the notes that Trailer Valet was supposed to reach out to you and I wanted to see if they did.

by:

Excellent service and delivery.

by:

Part looked good.

by:

Did'nt work well with my 20v Drill

by:

It does not work with the original Trailer Valet. It will not fit the square drive

by:

Will is very helpful & knowledgeable

This review will be for not only the Trailer Valet attachment, but for the Trailer Valet as well.
The good: works well on cement and with the attachment I don't have to push my boat into my garage (it has a slight incline at the entrance). E-Trailer is excellent for customer support! I had a couple of minor issues and they were really on top of getting me help.
The not-so-good: I've heard the Trailer Valet doesn't perform on grass or gravel. The attachment is made specifically for the Trailer Valet and you will not find another socket to work. Too bad the company chose to make extra money ($45) for a $5 part. On the Trailer Valet the bushings needed lubrication after one year because it started grinding. A simple fix but until I raised this issue the company did not have a video on how to do this maintenance. You will have to purchase ring clip pliers for this job.

by:

I've used my Trailer Valet to move my 20' enclosed utility trailer around the driveway.
I've also used it to move my 30' camper around, putting planks down on the lawn to run the Valet across. It works good, but is quite a workout with heavy trailers. In confined spaces, there's just no other way to do the job. I would like to have my original Valet adaptable to the newer, "universal ball-mount" style so I wouldn't have to buy a new unit and just set aside the original unit. The new "ball-mount" Valet would greatly simplify using the Valet. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and operation of my original unit.

Works perfect very happy

I bought the 5X Trailer Valet for my Jayco Pop UP camper. My driveway has a short but steep incline. I had been wrestling with the camper by moving it a few feet at a time with strategically placed wheel chocks. And what resembled a strong man competition to turn it around into the garage. Although the 5X is quite bulky it works remarkably well. I bought the drill attachment to "motorize" the 5X. There is a bit of a learning curve, between the combination of the tiller handle and the drill motor. The hand crank works surprisingly easy. The tires arrived with 10 lbs. PSI. The manual says tire pressure should be 85 lbs.. Defiantly check this out before applying tongue weight. All in all the 5X does the job.

by:

The installation of my Trailer Valet 5X has been simple and quick. However, I had some challenges which I anticipated before I placed the order.
I have a 20' travel trailer with a battery case and 2-30 lb propane cylinders on the hitch. Furthermore, there is also a weight distribution hitch and the left end side has a large Virginia Safety Inspection sticker on the hitch that must not be obstructed.
With the right hand side being the only place, I had to work out the 4 bolt location of the Trailer Valet bracket on the inside of the hitch to clear the support of the battery and the propane cylinders.
The last challenge was the weight distribution bar which was too close to the Trailer Valet bracket. Fortunately, the EQUAL-I-ZER 4 POINT SWAY CONTROL has a tild adjustment that allowes to lower the weight distribution bar where it otherwise would touch the Trailer Valet bracket.
Without this adjustment my project would have been ruined.

I will send you a picture after my next trip at the End of August when the trailer is hooked up.

by:

so far this unit looks to be great and exactly what I needed. Since I am getting older I am trying to do everything I can to make my RV'ing and trailer life easier. I pull a cargo trailer behind my 5th wheel. The trailer Valet will allow me to hitch the 2 up much easier. It also allows me to park my 5th wheel in my back yard and my cargo trailer next to it without having to be hooked up to my truck. etrailer recommends using the low gear to start and I can confirm that. There is a little bit of getting used to driving and steering it. I do recommend using your drill and the Socket that is purchased separately. Makes it a lot easier. I will be using mine as a permanent trailer jack. I think this will be fine

by:

The drill attachment for the Trailer Valet Makes a fairly easy task even easier. If you have a Trailer Valet do yourself a favor and get the drill attachment believe me you won't regret
it. It works great on ramps, and small ruts. Throw some sand down on the ice and you'll be surprised what you can do without cranking and just running the drill.

  • Recommended Bolt On A-Frame Trailer Jack For Karavan 6' X 12' Utility Trailer
For your 6' X 12' Karavan Trailer Model KHD-2990-72-12R-RR I recommend the Trailer Valet JXC Trailer Jack # TV54FR. This jack will bolt onto your trailer tongue A-Frame and has a removable footplate that helps prevent damage to your driveway or sinking into soft ground. It also comes with a Drill Attachment # TVDA that allows you to use a 18volt or larger cordless drill to easily raise and lower your trailer. The Removable Wheel # TV89FR can be used to make moving the trailer around in...

  • Replacement Jack Recommendation For a 2015 Pace American Aerosport Enclosed Trailer
It appears your 2015 Pace American Aerosport uses a standard A-frame style jack with side wind. The Trailer Valet JXC Trailer Jack # TV94FR would be a great option since it sounds like you are on the fence about either a manual or electric jack. • Troubleshooting Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack No Longer Fully Extending With Cordless Drill Adapter
It sounds like you may need to add some more grease to the Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack # TV64FR. There is a grease zerk on the back of the jack below the crank handle area.

  • Bolt-On Side-Mount Dual Wheel Trailer Jack Recommendation for Utility Trailer
Since you want a side-mount jack that will work on dirt/grass surfaces I suggest a dual-wheel type such as the Fulton # FXPD15L. Dual wheel will spread the weight over a larger area and help the jack function on such softer surfaces. The jack offers bolt-on installation, a hefty 1500-lb tongue weight rating, plunger-pin swivel operation and 12-inches of lift. If the surfaces are very soft or rutted you may instead prefer the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211. This...

  • Does The Trailer Valet TVXL2 Come With A Cordless Drill?
The Trailer Valet XL # TVXL2 does come with the drill adapter # TVDA. This can be used with virtually any 18 volt cordless drill. We do not carry drills here at etrailer, but you will be able to find a compatible drill pretty much anywhere that sells tools. I have a Black and Decker cordless drill that I got at Lowes which I have used for similar purposes. Something like that would do just fine.

The CE Smith Boat Trailer # CE48810 is a great choice to transport your Sun Dolphin Pro and using a trailer dolly will absolutely work for you.
