Will Hollywood Racks Light Bar Work on Destination Bike Racks For Ebikes

Question:
Have a Hollywood Rack HR4500. Will the lightbar listed on the Hollywood website work for this rack? Not clear how it will attach. In addition, will it work on the power connector plug configuration not withstanding on a 2023 Toyota Higlander? A review I read on your site suggested there may be a problem.

Hi John,
The Hollywood Racks Safety LED Light Bar for Bike Racks # HLY54RR won't work on the Hollywood Racks Destination EBike Rack # HLY66ZR. As you mentioned, you wouldn't be able to attach it, though there is an ebike rack it will work with, the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR, or the rack and light kit together, part # HLY34RR.
That said, since you have the Destination now, you can add lights with the Curt Auxiliary Lights # C53201.
This will work just fine plugged into the 4-way on your Toyota Highlander.

Hi John, how did the Curt auxiliary lights work out with your Destination bike rack and Highlander? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to add lights to the same setup.
