Install a Companion fifth-wheel hitch in your truck bed with this custom kit. Better than a traditional mounting kit, this setup doubles as a gooseneck hitch when the fifth wheel is removed, and the underbed design allows for full bed access.

This fifth wheel installation kit actually is the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch from B&W.
Gooseneck Specs:
With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow a gooseneck trailer, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance. When you're ready to tow your fifth wheel trailer, just install the Companion in the ball hole in place of the gooseneck ball and lock the post in place using the built-in handle. You can remove the fifth wheel when you're done towing, leaving your truck bed open once again.
Simple, Custom Installation
This kit is custom designed for your vehicle. The mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the brackets and center section installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the mounting post of the Companion (or the base of the gooseneck hitch ball).

Mu teenage son and I (I have a bad back so not moving to well at the moment) installed the BW underbid kit on 2020 Ford F250 4x4, FX4 SRW, Crew Cab with no issues. We followed instructions and watched video and pretty easy install. On my truck there is No heat shield near spare tire to remove prior to install and we did not remove the exhaust nuts to lower pipes and had no issue getting all brackets installed. We did it on driveway with truck rear tires on truck ramps. Took about 5 hours from start to finish with some breaks in between. I just placed two 8' 2x4's across bed of truck when you get to part using a ratchet strap to lift into 4" hole in bed tightly. works great. High high quality parts........Thx etrailer
Works like a champ. Install was a lot of work and the rear section will block the bolt to remove the right rear shock so make sure you either cut a notch out or plan on keeping your shocks. Torquing to spec gets very tricky with several of the bolts but can be done with a little patience. Operation is very smooth and the hitch itself is bombproof
Highly recommend watching etrailer video prior to installing. I dry fitted most items prior to permanently placing and bolting. The bracket wasn't easy but you could defiantly get it done yourself. Everything was built with good quality and beefy where you need it. The latch good be done a little smoother but operates like most fifth wheel releases.
Works well. Tough install. Best to have another set of hands. Better still if you can do it on a lift. Dont know if all vehicles present same challenges to the install as our F-350 diesel long bed. Most forward outboard drivers side bolt hard to get in or torque. Pretty straightforward though. Took me a couple of hours one day and finished up couple of hours next day. Could have opted for the Ford factory kit, but it required removing the bed and the accompanying labor cost.
B&W gooseneck hitch and fifth wheel combo was of good quality. Very heavy components but with help, install wasn’t bad. Only 4 stars because it arrived with a considerable amount of cosmetic damage. Parts were banging around in less than adequate packaging. Some filing was necessary on a few mating pieces. Ordering and ship time was excellent. etrailer is the best.
The installation took about 6 hours and I took my time, the only thing I would recommend is checking the threaded holes for weld splatter maybe running a thread chaser in them , I had just one hole that had to be cleaned up and would have been easier on the bench . Other than that everything fit perfect.

Excellent product. Super easy install , just a few wrenches and sockets! Couple hours and done.
The box came taped together and falling apart the parts had no protection from each other. The powder coat is scratched, marred and chipped now I have to prime and paint all the parts before I install them. B&W needs to package there stuff better. I planned to paint the parts for an extra layer of protection as I live in the north east. Now that the powder is chipped I have to do a professional paint job too make this hitch last. Unfortunately B&W is still the best hitch for my application so I’ll buy another one again but I don’t like having to spend a day prepping parts and painting after I paid a premium price for what was supposed to be a premium product.

Had almost no trouble installing Hitch and has worked well
Works fine, good design, was able to install without lifting the bed. Difficult to torqueall bolts, but is installed securely.
Took awhile to install by myself but works great. Never have any issues with it.
Excellent service.

This is how I received the box...first I was supposed to receive this item on the 31st of March then I didn't get it until Monday the 3rd. Definitely need to box this heavy stuff much better.
