Reese Goose Box or B&W Companion Slider for 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Hello, I have a 2021 Momentum 353G and i am currently using a BandW gooseneck with a cody coupler on the highest setting. My tow vehicle is a 2017 F-350 with a short box. I was planning on getting the goose box, but the pin box hits the truck bed rails during sharp turns. I am now worried the goose box will not give me the clearance I need to maneuver. We oft camp on unprepared surfaces and tight spaces. Will the goose box provide the height I need to clear the F-350 bed rails? Should i consider a different hitch? The other one I am looking at would be the BandW companion slider. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

While a Reese Goose Box is a great option, it is not going to provide you with any additional clearance above the bed rails of your 2017 Ford F-350. If you are currently having clearance issues with your bed rails, a Goose Box won't resolve that, so the best option is going to be the sliding B&W Companion.
The Companion has an outstanding hitch height of up to 19 inches, and the slider will provide you with 12 inches of front to back travel. It is widely regarded as the highest-quality fifth wheel hitch in the industry due to its immense 1 inch jaw system, so I highly recommend going this route for your F-350. You didn't mention if you have the puck system in your truck or the B&W Custom Underbed Installation Kit - Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1116-5W so I'll list the options for the Companion that you would need for both.
