You know that feeling when your gooseneck trailer bounces and your truck feels every bit of it. That vertical shock hits hard. This 5th-wheel conversion kit uses an air bag at the hitch to absorb the impact and give you the smoother ride you want.
The core of this Shocker Hitch coupler is the air bag. It changes the way your trailer moves. It takes the edge off when you hit the throttle, stop suddenly, or run into rough patches in the road. Instead of that shock and bounce transferring straight to the truck, it gets absorbed right at the hitch. Your trailer stays steady, and your truck doesn't feel like it's getting beat up every time the road gets rough.
With some couplers, you're never quite sure if they're secure. This Demco eZ-Latch coupler fixes that. Just drop it onto the ball and it latches itself. There are no extra steps involved, and you won't have to hang over the side of your truck straining to get a pin in. Once it's connected, you know it's going to stay put. And if you're leaving your trailer hooked up somewhere, the InfiniteRule lock (IR66FR - sold separately) keeps the latch from being opened so no one can pull up and take it.
Every load's different. One day it's stack of treated lumber for a deck rebuild, the next it's a compact tractor with a brush cutter. That's why there's a valve built in for the air bag. Just add air for heavier hauls and let some out when the trailer's running light. It keeps the truck and trailer in sync so the ride stays smooth, no matter what you're hauling.
Fifth-wheel hitches eat up bed space and add weight you don't need. This kit swaps that bulk for a lighter, more practical setup that bolts in where your old pin box was. The RVGC-4405 base fits Lippert 1621, 0719, and Rhino Box bolt patterns, so there's no need to modify the trailer frame. Once it's mounted, you're ready to drop in the air coupler and enjoy a quieter, more stable ride.
Towing capacity is limited by the lowest rated component in your setup.
If you have a recessed gooseneck ball, there must be at least a 12" x 12" opening in your bed for this coupler to work. In addition, the top of the hitch ball cannot be more than 2" from the top of the bed.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Shocker Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck and Demco coupler combo. This is gonna replace your Lipper turning point 24,000 pound rated fifth wheel attachment. So folks, this is a fifth wheel to gooseneck hitch. You're gonna be able to tow your fifth wheel with your gooseneck hitch and this will give you less chucking, jerking wear and tear.
It does have a nice airbag and cushion bumpers, all that in here built to give you that smooth ride. It also features Demco's auto latch coupler. I'm not gonna be able to pick this up and show you, but basically you don't even have to have this open. You just have it like that. You push it or bring it down onto the ball.
The weight of everything will automatically lift this up and couple it all in one fluid motion, pretty impressive. And then when it's time to release it, you just pull it up and then you can let the ball out as normal. So very nice, again, you have the airbag here giving you nice stability. 24,000 pound capacity on the whole unit. You've got three different adjustment holes here for this main pin.
So you can change the height that's needed. And this gives you a three inch offset. So you're gonna have extra clearance between the truck cab and the truck trailer. You got a set screw here as well. So as you probably know with goosenecks, once you get the pin in, you still wanna tighten everything down here to give it extra stability.
Two and 5/16 standard gooseneck ball. The pin weight capacity, maximum tongue weight is 6,000 pounds. There's a grease zerk right in here. You can barely see that. That's gonna be where you want to do your maintenance, your regular greasing and those kind of things. So again, folks, this is nice little setup here as far as converting again, that fifth wheel down to the gooseneck. And again, just giving you a lot better turn radius. A lot better pull in my opinion. And again, this is made to replace that Lippert turning point pin box. So a very nice feature. You got your safety chain areas here and here. And then of course all your bolt holes. Note there's no hardware included. You should already have your hardware from your old pin box. And this will just be mounting up in the place of that pin box that you already have. Folks, it is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, as always, if you have questions about this or any other product we carry, feel free to reach out to us. We'd be more than happy to assist you. Have a good one. And stay safe while you're towing.
we are always very happy with the customer service and will continue using e trailer for all of our rv related needs
If you have all the right tools, and an assistant, this is a simple 1 hour job. I pulled my truck back, supported the pinbox using an 8x8" block and easily pushed it into place using the block as a pivot point. I dont know what the sweet spot for PSI will be but towing (came preloaded at 20 PSI) but seems smoother and I gained about 3-5" space beteen my truck and trailer after installation. If you get the safety chain package, the shaft on the pinbox bolts will be too short...I grabbed Class 5 bolts at a local Tractor Supply. A noticable umprovement occured when I loaded my duelly, the bed didnt sink like it used with the 5th wheel and the trailer seemed to find its natural level quickly.
Fast delivery thanks
