This hitch is rated for 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and a 5,000 lbs vertical load limit, giving it the muscle to handle big fifth-wheel trailers with confidence. Its gray powder coated steel construction resists corrosion for a long service life, and the solid base design provides a stable connection that feels secure mile after mile.
The 3/4" thick dual jaws wrap completely around the king pin for full 360-degree contact. That tight fit cuts down on rattle and movement compared to slide-bar hitches, giving you a quiet, stable ride. The head also uses durable polyurethane bushings that absorb shock and vibration so the truck and trailer move together more smoothly.
The cam-action handle makes coupling and uncoupling simple—even when parked on uneven ground. It opens easily without binding, and once unlatched, driving forward releases the jaws automatically. The handle stays closed with a pin and clip, or you can secure it further with a padlock that has a 5/16" diameter shackle, 3" height, and 2-1/4" width.
The pivot arms can be mounted in multiple positions on the base to fine-tune both height (16"–19") and fore/aft placement. That flexibility helps line up your trailer level and adjust clearance between the cab and front cap when turning. Combined with the fully articulating head that pivots front-to-back and side-to-side, it makes setup easier and towing smoother.
This fixed fifth-wheel hitch mounts to industry-standard above-bed rails from B&W, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Pro Series, Reese, and Valley. Base rails and installation kits are sold separately, letting you match it to an existing rail setup or choose a semi-custom bracket kit where available.

First time 5th wheel owner and the B&W Companion hitch RVK3715 was very easy to install. Once in easy to hookup and disconnect camper. Will recommend to anyone wanting an easy to setup, easy to use 5th wheel hitch.
It doesn’t get any more heavy duty than this!! Very heavy, but thats why its so sturdy.
Got the hit hitch installed. It is heavy duty and well built!! Have not used it yet, looking for a fifth wheel camper to purchase now.

I bought a slider because camping world said I needed it on a 2026 Silverado 2500hd. I should have asked you all. But it appears I did not need it. I had a hunch that set at rearward location it would be fine and is. Great hitch though.
This is the second B&W slider I have owned. The quality is second to none. Took about 30 minutes to install. Years ago I bought one used, it was missing the little spring that keeps the head level, I called B&W to inquire how much it cost and where I could get one. They sent me the replacement for free, even though I told them I had bought it used. That tells you all you need to know about this company. Customer for life.
We were in a real jam where we needed a hitch so we could move our fifth wheel to a diffrent state. We made the mistake of thinking that one of the big box rv dealers (the ones with the giant flag) would have something like a fifth wheel hitch in stock. I mean, they are selling rvs! Unfortunately that is not the case, they would have to order one for us and it would have taken two weeks to ship! Adam B. with trailer really stepped up to the plate and saved us. We ordered our hitch and he made sure it got shipped out that same day. Three days later we had our brand new B&W hitch and threw it in the truck bed. It fits perfectly and we are so thankful to be able to tow our own rv safely. The B&W Companion hitch is such a well crafted piece of equipment. It was fairly easy to install, just needed some minor adjustments to the puck lock downs, which is part of the install process. Then BAM! We had our brand new ,USA made, B&W fifth wheel hitch.

Seems to be a very solid hitch (it's my first 5th wheel) I like that it's made from plate steel and not stamped crap. It towed our new 5th wheel toy hauler home 5 hours quietly, confidently and securely. I did have to snug up the cam locks that attach it to the puck system in my truck after the first trip though, hopefully that'll be the last time. Also Natasha was awesome to deal with and a great help on the phone.
I am very impressed with this hitch. I have changed vehicles, and am transitioning from the older bed-mounted rail system to this "puck" system for my new-to-me 2022 RAM 3500. This hitch is heavy, but built like an army tank. It ships in 3 boxes. I was concerned when I saw that the largest box arrived significantly damaged, but thankfully the contents was intact. Some assembly required, including using a torque wrench (which all RVers should own anyway). Very satisfied overall.
Super easy install in my 2026 Ram 3500. It dropped right into the factory puck system with no issues or tweaking. Base is kind of heavy but an easy lift if you have another set of hands. Item arrived late but through no fault of etrailer. They shipped it immediately but the freight company delayed delivery. The locking levers come pre-installed so all you have to do is adjust the castle nut to get the right tension. Very intuitive installation.
Out with the old and in with the new companion fifth wheel hitch. I bought them both from etrailer. The 16K fifth wheel hitch was purchased for my Silverado without a Puck
system then I traded it in two years later for a Ram Laramie 3500 dually with a puck system. Stayed with B&W hitches because they are built to last and easy to use. etrailer my,"go to site". Yes it was a huge upgrade going from 16k patriot to a 25k companion hitch and worth every penny. Thanks again to E-Trailer and B&W.
This hitch is excellent. It fits perfectly and is HD for sure! Smooth operation and great shipping. Two heavy duty cardboard boxes strapped on a pallet.

Super simple to install the fit and finish is fantastic,fit my 2021 F250 Tremor with the factory OEM puck system I only needed to adjust one puck lever a 1/4 turn. Its heavy have a friend on hand I used a lift table.
Easy setup. Easy to use. Solid performance. For Fords with the factory pick system look no further skip the gooseball and get this. It comes apart in two, 75# pieces in under two minutes. All of the advantages of a 5th wheel setup with none of the drawbacks. An eTrailer? Skip the guy with the Tropical forest name and buy for the same price or better and get expert, friendly support from eTrailer. 10 stars if I could.
This product is exactly as described for my 2021 Ram 2500. I initially was going to pay and have it installed, decided to do it myself. The base is a little heavy so I do recommend a second set of hands. When drilling the holes for the hooks several stores did not carry a 11/16 drill bit as recommended but the 5/8 was just fine.
Finally got my new B&W Companion Gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch installed in the bed of my 2024 Ford F250 Lariat. While I have not pulled my fifth wheel yet, I have hooked up to check clearances, etc. first thing I noticed was how easy hooking up and unhooking was with this witch. This hitch is solid and I look forward to many miles traveling with it. My truck has 6.7 foot bed and in the picture I will send you will notice I still had room for a 43 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. Thanks to etrailer for their help with purchase.
Love how this comes apart making it EASY to remove from truck bed and re-install. Easy to assemble with standard hand tools and torque wrench. When the snow clears here in Montana I will THEN hookup the 5th wheel to the hitch. By the end of camping season 2025 I will return to provide an update.
Photos show one box (hitch head) that UPS delivered promptly without damage. The other box (hitch base) UPS took on a tour of the east coast and as a result was loaded and off-loaded from many many more trucks. The boxes aren't designed for that. Result was a torn-up box that UPS tried to keep together with tape. Fortunately, the contents were 'contained' within the box, and nothing was damaged as a result. That issue is not a B&W nor an eTrailer fault in my opinion.
Purchased the B&W Companion to swap out a PullRite Autoslide in my 2024 Chevy 3500HD. We are pulling a Grand Design Reflections 337 and the prior truck had ISR rails installed, I was told I "must have" a sliding hitch for a standard bed. This just proved for my use it was not needed. Now, the hitch. Like many have indicated the box arrived pretty beat up but the hitch parts were not damaged and all parts intact. The set up was fairly easy, I decided to go to the highest level tilted back which for me works out great. If that did not work out I can adjust it easy enough. I installed and took it for a test run about 20 miles before doing any real traveling just in case I needed modification. Connection was easy, and the level locked in and pinned close. Pulling was quiet, no slamming of metal on metal that I previously heard. I checked the clearances as I made some turns and plenty of room to move, I could easily move it to the more upright position if I wanted. I am not doing 90 degree turns and a 45 degree turn has plenty of room to go. The camper is fairly level when connected, maybe a 1/4 bubble high in the front. The unit is heavy and solid without being outrageously heavy, in 2 parts I can move it myself in and out by myself. Etrailer as usual did well with pricing and getting it out the door, they have been my go to site.

I absolutely love my B&W 5th wheel hitch. After 2 years of fighting with my Curt hitch, I decided a change was way overdue. I couldnt be happier.
