How to Find Replacement for 4 Lug Hubs on Utility Trailer

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/18/2024

Question:

I am in need of 2 new, 4 lug hubs for my small utility trailer. I have one of the two hubs as the other broke and was discarded. Is there any way I could mail it to you and you could match it up with replacements?

Hi David; we don't have a way for you to mail it to us so you will have to identify the hub to find the right replacement. Identifying the hub is pretty easy and will save you money since you won't have to pay to ship a hub. Based on the bolt pattern, I'm sure you have a straight spindle that uses either # L44649 inner and outer or # L44643 inner and outer bearings.

Take a look at your bearings to see if they have part numbers stamped in the side. If not, you can measure the inner diameter of the bearings or the spindle where the bearings ride using a digital caliper # PTW80157. If you find that you have # L44643 bearings with a 1.00" ID you can use the # CE13100 you were looking at. If you have # L44649 bearings with a 1.063" ID you can use the # CE13109 instead.

Hey David, were you able to check the bearing numbers or measure the spindle on your trailer hub? Knowing which size matched up would be really helpful for others trying to replace a similar hub. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same issue.
