Hi David; I honestly wouldn't choose steel brake lines for a salt water application, even if they were stainless. A better option would be the Hydrastar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit # HS496-152 or # HS496-252 with copper-nickel alloy. This has proven to be more reliable than steel and has better corrosion resistance since it doesn't rely on a coating that will eventually wear off.

Another good option would be the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Line Kit # 20TA-BLKIT with rubber hoses and stainless steel fittings. Again, this will hold up better than any steel lines for salt water applications. If you're set on steel make sure they are stainless steel. We don't carry any stainless steel brake lines at this time.

Thank you very much for your for answering my question. I was just saying steel but some type of stainless or some other less corrosive line that would be good for saltwater. Apparently I have to use the rubber hose which I didn't want to use because of the hose expanding under pressure . Just wanted to feel more positive break. Thank you David
