Question:
2013 GMC 2500HD Duramax towing a toy hauler. Brake and turn signals on trailer work sometimes...sometimes not. I put in a tester in the vehicle plug...works sometimes, sometimes not the lights. I have not unplugged the plug behind the receptacle and tested it separately but will. Could not find a bad fuse under the hood. Wanting to simply replace as much as possible on the vehicle side wiring, plugs, etc. Can you tell me what Id purchase please?

It will definitely be worthwhile to test the wires behind your trailer plug. This way we can know if the issue lies with the receptacle itself, or with the vehicle wiring harness. To replace just the receptacle, you can use the Curt # C55774.
If you are needing to completely replace the vehicle side wiring, we suggest using a 4 flat harness # C56496 along with the Universal Install Kit # ETBC7. There are no plug-and-play options for this truck so this will require cutting and splicing into the vehicles wiring.
