Installing CE Smith Guide-Ons on a Ranger RT188P Boat Trailer With Rear Step

Have been trying to figure a way to install the upright guide on on my Ranger Trail trailer and had given up making it work until I saw the pictures posted by Darrell - Please let me know what model he used on that boat and if you need any special fittings to make it work on the 2022 Ranger Trail - Thank you

I do see that it does appear difficult to install these CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers # CE27760 on your 2022 Ranger RT118P Trailer. In looking at the image of them installed on the trailer in our review you can see that they did use the included hardware by drilling holes in the steel that would allow the bolts to pass through. He used the CE Smith Guide-On Mounting U-Bracket # CES94FR to identify the location where the bolts would need to pass through.

Yes, The Replacement CE Smith Guide-On Mounting U-Bracket #CES94FR can be drilled through the rear step on your 2022 Ranger RT198 Trailer. The bracket is constructed of 11-gauge pre-galvanized steel. I attached a review video link below.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
