Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at the CE Smith replacement guide-on mounting U bracket. This U bracket is going to replace the 1 1/2 inch square tube guide-on mounting bracket that allows you to mount your guide-on and place on your trailer. To make sure that your boat is going to come up in correct positioning. This is made of an 11 gauge pre-galvanized steel.
So it's gonna hold up really well for you. And it is an exact replacement from CE Smith. So you can trust it is going to work with your guide-on so you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. Just to give you a little bit more reassurance. This is right at, I'm gonna say, 4 5/8 of an inch long.
By right at. Just shy of 4 inches wide. So again, it is gonna do a good job of allowing you to get your 1 1/2 inch square tube guide-on mounted in place. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

The part met expectations. However I had to purchase the bolts, nuts, and washers needed to install on a rail style trailer beam.where two bolt heads slide into the frame with bolt pointing down. From the threaded end of the bolt, protruding from the underside of the trailer beam, the hat bracket purchased from etrailer is mounted with 2 washers and 2 nuts, one for each bolt. Finding these 7/16-1.5” bolts, nuts and washers in galvanized steel proved impossible so stainless was purchased, problematic due to galvanic corrosion with aluminum.. etrailer appears to sell only u bolts, not what is needed for a rail style mount. Would be nice if galvanized 7/16-1.5 inch GLAVANIZED bolts were offered with hat brackets.
Their service always amazes me as to how quick and responsive they are. I will only order from trailer.
After removal of rusted upright realized probably could have reused old bracket but now have new look.
Customer service is fantastic and communication is above and beyond. Fast delivery.
Not galvanized enough to matter in salt environment. To top it off no packing materials were used in box so the two part rattled around in transit. Last CE Smith part was hot dipped so, not as expected.The photo displays exactly what packing materials were use to protect parts. Zero

Perfect replacement for the bracket that broke on my pontoon trailer. I was able to use my existing hardware due to the holes matching up. Easy as could be replacement! Extremely happy!

This was a direct replacement for an original bracket that had failed. It fit correctly and is holding up well

This bracket works as designed. It is what I needs to mount my 1.5”x1.5” square guide poles. Finish is good. No burns or defects
I would like to see an additional bend to strengthen the plate against flex. I think if I hit the trailer too hard on the river, the bracket could loosen and slide.
Amazing what a quick search can find. Local boat dealer, after two weeks apologized that they were unable to find us a replacement bracket. Yet I could have had it repaired in a few days if I looked first. Yeah, your site is bookmarked. Thank you
