How to Determine the Correct Jack Height and Lift Needed for Replacement Trailer Jack
Updated 01/10/2022 | Published 01/09/2022 >
Question:
How do you determine the “lift” you need? All of the ark dual wheels will be fine for my tongue weight but don’t which one is acceptable based on the above question. I have 2018 Intech Luna rv. Thank you in advance for your response

One way to determine the lift and jack height you need would be to measure the jack you currently have on your 2018 Intech Luna RV. If this is not possible, or you still aren't sure, you can also determine the correct jack using the coupler height on your trailer and the height of the jack.
With the trailer level and parked on level ground, measure the height from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. You want the jack to be able to extend about 4" above this measurement so you will be able to raise it over the ball to connect and disconnect the trailer. The retracted height should be shorter than the coupler height.
The height of a jack is taken from the bottom of the jack to the mounting point. The Extreme Off-Road Swing-Up Jack w/ Dual Wheels - Sidewind - 10-3/4" Lift - 1,100 lbs - Zinc # ORJW500D has 4 height settings. The height of this jack can be 11.22" at a minimum with a max height of 27.9528". This jack will also pivot up and stow parallel to the trailer tongue so clearance while towing will not be an issue.
I have attached a review video along with a helpful article on trailer jacks which outlines measuring height in greater detail that you can check out.
