Regards Converting M101A2 Axle to Timbren Axle-Less Suspension With Brakes Question: I am interested in converting the stock M1010A2 axle to Timbren axle less and change the brakes to electric. I also wanted to convert the hubs into the Toyota 6x5.5 bolt pattern. What will I need? My budget is . It will be an off-road trailer so I need it to accept off-road wheels and take some abuse. Thank you asked by: Chadwick W Expert Reply: In order to use a 6 on 5-1/2 inch compatible hub, youd need to use the # ASR35HDS01 Timbren Axle-Less system which has spindles that would work a hub using that bolt pattern. The system has a 3500 lb weight capacity and is designed specifically for off-road applications. For compatible hubs, use # 8-201-5UC3-EZ which includes the bearings compatible with the Axle-Less suspension I mentioned. The races, grease seal, EZ Lube grease caps and lug nuts are also included. The hubs have 1/2 inch wheel studs. For brake assemblies, use # AKEBRK-6. Ive linked to a demonstration video for the Axle-Less suspension. expert reply by: Mike L

I would be happy to help!
There are a few different systems that will work with hubs that have the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, and the correct one will be dependent on the axle rating of your current axle.
More than likely you will want the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 2" Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs # TASR35HDS06 which has 3500lb rating but uses larger 5200lb hubs so you can have the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern you are wanting, and is designed specifically for larger off-road tires.
If you are planning on the trailer fully loaded exceeding 3500lbs then you will need the # ASR5200S01 instead which have a 5200lb axle rating, but are only available for standard tires.
You will want to match the axle to you anticipated load as using too large of system will cause a stiffer ride due to the stiffer progressive rate AEON main spring.
Both systems will use electric brake assemblies # 23-458-459 and hub and drum assemblies # 8-219-4UC3-EZ which have the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern you are wanting.
